As an avid space rocket fan this is an absurd and ridiculous action by YouTube .Felix and the team at WAI are in my opinion one of the most enjoyable, professional & hard working content creators out there, no rules have been broken, the AI algo is broken - fix it @TeamYouTube
Update on Our Current Situation
As some of you may have seen already, WAI has been removed from YouTube.
Someone out there wants us to go down. To that someone I’d like to reply: You will not succeed. You will not win and we will prevail stronger and more motivated than ever before to spread the word about spaceflight and the greatest transformation in human history.
I’m collaborating closely with @TeamYouTube right now to uncover what went wrong and restore our channel as quickly as possible.
This serves as a poignant reminder that hate has no place in the spaceflight community. Those who spread negativity or target creators across platforms should be firmly excluded from our shared spaces.
By allowing hate to take root, we risk causing real harm to everyone involved.
I started this channel because I was and am enthusiastic and hopeful about a better future for humanity. This motivation is what carried the entire team for six years, and guess what! We’re not done yet! 🔥
A heartfelt thank you to all of you for the overwhelming wave of support pouring in through emails and DM’s. The entire WAI team is truly grateful.
You truly are the most incredible community out there!
I’ll keep everyone posted on our progress.
Love,
Felix & Team ❤️
Bit more solar action today, after all the excitement over the huge group of active regions a few days ago I pointed it at a smaller region. This ia AR3653, 5% stack from 1000 frames, PST stage 2 modded TAL100RS and 290MM mini. #sun#astrophotography#solar#sunspot
Been very fortunate to be able to borrow a TAL100RS solar modded scope for a while. Here is a prominence from a few days ago, fun to be able to do some imaging during daylight hours for a change 😀 #solar#astronomy#Astrophotography
Here is SH2-184 The Pacman Nebula, a total of 20 hours integration with SII, Ha and OIII. I just love the Bok Globules, especially the one that looks like a cooked chicken in the middle. #Astrophotography#nebula
@astr0gems Sometimes when I’m post processing I have to walk away for a few hours and then come back, suddenly I spot things that I missed or decide the colour is off 😬
@clarkjames70 Thanks James, my set up is pretty solid so 30mins are fine, squeezing everything I can out of this cam :) switching to CMOS once funds permit.
My image of The Elephant's Trunk Nebula, part of the larger IC1396 complex located in the constellation Cepheus roughly 2,400 light years away. SII - 8 hours (30min subs), H-Alpha - 9 hours (30min subs), OIII - 8 hours (30min subs) #Astrophotography
@misterv_ca Yeah the KAF8300 ccd sensor has a decent amount of read noise, coupled with 3nm filters it really needs decent subs to swamp it. I really should make the jump to CMOS.
@astro_vino Been a terrible summer so far in NW too, can’t remember it being this wet and cloudy for a long time. We get more rain than most but not week after week, also looks like another week of it coming at least too 😣
This is my #IC1795 known as the Fish Head Nebula. Imaged with an Atik 383L+ mono cam and MN190 scope. Spent most of Jan 2022 on this, had another play with the data during these short nights. #Astrophotography#space#astronomy
