Wild fires in Lahaina, Hawaii have killed nearly 60 people, and hundreds of houses have burnt down.

@LanceBaraoidan, a member of the community has lost his house and everything in it. Thankfully his wife and children are okay, but him and his family desperately need our help.

PLEASE, If you can, Lance has posted up his wife’s Venmo account below, if you can contribute some financial support, as you can imagine literally anything will help. I really hope we can come together to show all the support we can. This isn’t a scam, this is legitimate, very scary and real situation.

My heart goes out to everyone in Lahaina Hawaii who have lost loved ones, lost their homes and have been damaged in anyway by these horrible wild fires.

My grandmother turned 85 today 🎉

We surprised her and hired this beautiful pink Cadillac to drive her around, she’s always loved pink Cadillacs so this was a great surprise for her.

In regards to Niantic and Pokémon GO, we ask you to consider this today. Whether the game has a mechanical failure or the community team shares a communication in error, it is never ok to make personal attacks. Remember that it is possible to be upset and even angry without being disrespectful. If you are so emotional that you feel the need to lash out at a company or employee, we hope instead you will consider:

✅ Taking a walk on a route where you normally play Pokémon GO, but instead of playing, keep your phone in your pocket.

✅ Spending time on social media, but instead of browsing the Pokémon GO space, look at things from your other interests and hobbies.

✅ Reaching out to friends and family that are not Pokémon Trainers and engaging them around their interests.

❤️ Hopefully, temporarily disengaging from Pokémon GO in these simple ways will help you reflect on a few things about your time with and without the game.

✅ Finding a balance between the game and life.

✅ Realizing the importance of connecting with nature and taking in positive energy from your surroundings.

✅ Using social media to enhance your life and state of mind in a positive way, rather than as an outlet to broadcast negativity.

✅ Finding ways to communicate your negative feelings that aren't shrouded in pessimism and gloom.

✅ Realizing that while Niantic is a big operation, there are still humans behind every word you read and every pixel you see. Those humans have feelings and families and emotions just like you.

I also think it is important to clarify something. The miscommunication around the interaction radius was a painful one. It directly impacted the credibility of this brand and how we communicate news from Niantic. That being said, we are well aware of the fallout surrounding the situation, and we don't feel good about it. We also however, know that like in life, it is important to keep pushing forward and to leave a wake of positivity behind you.

I can't even remember how many times I have messed up in my life. But what I can remember are those that stood by me and helped me back up onto my feet rather than those that tried to keep me down.

Thank you to our Community for understanding where we are coming from and believing in our approach to our content and social media voice. We encourage you to be passionate and critical of this game in ways that will help drive it forward rather than backward. We won't stop fighting the good fight and standing up in a positive way.

To those that will try to spoil the fun and spin our approach in terrible ways, we hope you will consider looking at things from a different lens today. It's ok to disagree, it's ok to be upset, it's ok to air it out. We just hope you do it in a way that isn't dipped in poison. Let's have meaningful dialogue, identify what each other is concerned about, and address our differences through healthy discourse. I assure you there can be a middle ground.

It’s been a little over 2 months since we lost Julie from our lives. I’ve wanted to do this for a while but it’s always been to hard to finish the tweet. I ask anyone and everyone share or retweet this so it can reach as many people as possible. If you don’t have twitter make one or get someone to post on your behalf at bare minimum.

Julie aka 000Jewulles will never be forgotten and my hopes for this tweet is it reach every person she had an impact on in the Pokémon Go community. I invite you to share a story or memory of Julie and if nothing else your IGN and where you reside from if you had the opportunity to interact with Julie. My goal for this tweet that will be pinned to my profile permanently is to have a place we can all reminisce positively about Julie.

 I’ll share some of my memories below to get us started:

 I remember when I met Julie she was finishing the skate and BMX park gym at Friendship Gardens in Thunder Bay every time I saw her. Months had gone by, oh I’m getting close she would say every time. I finally said what the hell have you been doing you should have been done months ago. She just looked at me and laughed. What she lacked in game knowledge she made up for with pure determination and a never give up attitude. It was then we forged a friendship.

 Sitting in fields till 4:00 am farming golden berries off people that hated our determination and when we decided we got enough progress that night we took the gym and went home. We did that kind of stuff so many times. There was and I believe never will be another person to have the determination to match mine like Julie did. We both hate losing, and being outnumbered be the more popular Valor and Mystic teams didn’t bother us. We weren’t afraid of a challenge, I shared everything I knew with her trying to teach her things in the game. I'm not a wealth of knowledge either but between the two of us we were unstoppable. We showed respect to every player but if you spat on that respect we gave you, you’d never forget just how ruthless we could be. We knew we could be assholes but we always let you hang yourself 2 or 3 times first.  I’m proud to say we never cheated in any form although the amount of times we’ve been accused of it is astronomical. I am slowly working on returning with the same ferocious approach I had before the passing of Julie. I do it because that’s what she would of wanted. It’s hard as hell but for Julie’s memory I will succeed. Julie was my best friend and I will never forget her.
