@Lesdoggg For my birthday this year my husband bought me a new chair and rug for my classroom. I wasn’t able to buy for kids all the supplies they need because I was selfish.
@RzstProgramming How is this not child abuse? So much respect to those three wonderful young men who sat calm and did not react to the hate. You proved that you are so above them. I hope the abusers face charges.
@RawBeautyKristi My sons are 27 and 23,Youngest one is expecting his own child now. They both still hug my every time they see me. Both still come by to do their laundry and to eat dinner all the time. I’m first one they call when they have good and bad news( other than their partners of course)
@RawBeautyKristi Welcome officially to the moms club! Lol. Not funny but we all do stuff and wonder how the hell did I not kill my kid. And I shouldn’t be left with him alone again. I feeling that never goes away
@ThatGirlShaeXo Have you read Educated by Tara Westover? She came from a family that believed in this type of behavior. It’s an interesting look at these types of families from the inside
@dabrancato @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk I can’t imagine how much harder it would be for your first year. It gets better. First years are tough even in person. Man! His bless you. I just miss being with my kids.
@JamesCross1 @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk My district is using Canvas as our platform. I record lessons that students can view whenever. They have the papers in binders to follow along with the video and then they have online quizzes that I also create where they submit their answers. I also zoom twice each day
@JessicaTMarie1 @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk Thank you. I love teaching and would never dream of giving it up. I am truly blessed with the best job. Really! No, really!! Lol. But those words mean so much
Just because someone expresses their feelings out loud, does not mean they are struggling and need you to rescue them with your advice. Glad you know everything but I don’t care. Keep it to yourself please!!!
@kawherp @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk thank you for all of the unsolicited advice on what you think I should be teaching. I never asked for advice so please keep it to yourself. I am not struggling and need you to rescue me. I love being a teacher and was telling a very kind person thank you for recognizing what I do
@kawherp @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk But yes it does tie our hands. It usually is politicians in state department positions who try to mandate what we do and teach. I do not have the freedom to only teach coping skills or give out kindness assignments. Or give participation grades for talking about feelings
@kawherp @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk Standardized assessments are required at the state and federal level. No child left behind laws require them. It is not up to the principals Their hands are tied. And if a school is failing, the principal can be removed and the state can replace them
@libertyandjus11 @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk I’m sorry but I didn’t ask for your advice or tips. Notes?!?? Ok. Sure. For little kids ??? Ya. Participation grades? Yep sure I’ll get on that. Sure the superintendent will understand that
@Mal_Contents @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk Thank you. And thank you to all of the parents who are trying to help us too. I appreciate you too. Just don’t tell the teacher that you don’t know why they are getting paid when you are the one teaching your kid. Yep. Been told that this year
@Johnpau74853808 @KelsoinScotland @softboyuk Thank you. That’s very sweet and words like that really do help. Like I said I love being a teacher and would not want to do anything g else. Just a low day. So again. Thank you
