I received with deep sadness the news of the passing of His Royal Highness, Oba Dr. Olusegun Abayomi, JP, the Obajisun of Ayedun Kingdom.

The late monarch was a respected custodian of culture and tradition whose reign reflected wisdom, peace, and dedication to the growth and unity of his people. His contributions to Ayedun Kingdom and the traditional institution will remain a lasting legacy.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the royal family, the people of Ayedun Kingdom, the Oke-Ero Local Government Traditional Council, and the entire Kwara State.

May Almighty God grant the departed monarch eternal rest and grant his loved ones the strength to bear this great loss.

It gladdens my heart to see the commencement of the Digital Skills Empowerment Programme for the first batch of OBG Foundation mentees.

This initial phase accommodates 55 beneficiaries, while a second phase, featuring an additional 50 participants, will be rolled out subsequently.

I am delighted to see our young people embracing digital opportunities through the OBG Foundation. This initiative is aimed at equipping them with relevant skills for the modern world, empowering them to compete, connect, and thrive in the global digital economy.

Yesterday, I joined our leader, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, in Abuja for a memorable evening reception celebrating Portugal’s National Day and 25 years of the Portuguese Embassy’s presence in Nigeria.

It was a pleasure to share in this celebration of friendship, diplomacy, and the strong bond between Nigeria and Portugal.
