@usmntonly Since everyone is quoting the rule book: “Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity including holding or pulling, the offending player must be sent off.”
@Nick___Collins He didn’t brake his ankle, not even close. He was fine and kept playing without any problems. Play was a little reckless, should have been a yellow according to the rules.
@Ryley__Delaney According to the rules “a player must be cautioned (yellow card) if a player commits in a reckless manner a direct free kick offence”. Shouldn’t have been a red.
@luism8989 VAR was not applied consistently this game. A blatant offsides was ignored in the first minute and B&H committed a similar foul in their own penalty box and the ref waved of any VAR review.
@ThatCroatianGuy Yeah, except the ref didn’t go to VAR for the flagrant offsides in the first minute of the game or the clear PK against B&H. Be consistent and I am ok with this call… this was selective.
Heartbroken about losing Adam. I’ve been covering the Buffs for 16 years and he’s been there the whole time. We covered a lot of football games together and became good friends along the way. I loved sharing this beat with him and will miss him terribly. Rest in peace, my friend!
I am absolutely devastated. Adam was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. Genuinely an incredible human.
Somehow it always feels like the very best of us that get taken so soon.
My heart goes out to his amazing family, I am truly sorry for this unimaginable loss.
Rest in peace to a CU media legend, a true friend and more importantly a great man.
Adam first hired me not because he necessarily needed the help but because he saw I (20 at the time) was working in a situation with no guidance and he thought he could help me.
And boy did he.
Adam taught me a lot about writing, how to carry myself in a press box and gave me my first real shot at podcasting and on-camera work.
When I was asked to be a part of launching what has now become DNVR/ALLCITY, I almost said no because I didn’t want to let him down.
But, of course, when I told him, that worry was completely washed away because he was nothing but happy for me.
Adam had a sweet jump shot with range out of the gym.
We had a shared love of a Jiffy Burger from the Darkhorse (only after he convinced me to try it.)
His laugh, the FULL laugh, was as contagious as they come.
Though he graduated from ASU, he learned to love our Buffs despite only ever covering a couple good seasons. I loved that.
He will deeply missed by those that knew and loved him and by the CU community at large.
My thoughts are with Liz and his whole family 💔
@ScottProcter_@RyanGreeneDNVR Are you seriously counting a 2027 who committed today as part of the QB room? Love the commit, but these days, probably only has a 50% chance of ever actually being in the room.
@JakeDNVR Who said anything about too” small? Fact is, we have one of the smallest, by avg player wieght, rosters in the B12. People getting bent out of shape over simple facts.
@JakeDNVR@DNVR_Buffs That’s some amazing spin! “Being undersized will give them a leverage advantage against all the much bigger OLs they’ll face.” 😂 sure hope so!
