Today I'm going to a private rakugo (落語) performance, so I chose to wear a semi-formal homongi (訪問着) kimono with an "ume" (梅 plum bossom) pattern. Ume will be a popular motif until the end of February. It's considered "iki" to wear seasonal flowers just before they bloom.
