Hi Mayor @QuintonLucasKC. We want to #KeepKCFilming and this is our petition to save the Film Incentive and Office. https://t.co/nFKuMtNdGN
The cost is just $175K, and it brings in $10M+ in yearly revenue. Filmmaking creates jobs and has a measurable, repeatable economic impact.

Hello @KCMOBudget. We've been waiting to see the final, approved budget to confirm the $200k funding for the Film Office.
It's been nearly a month since the budget was adopted on 3/26. Is there any record of the final, adopted budget online?
Thanks for any help you can give.

On March 29, 1961, Channel 19 signed on the air as KCSD instructional TV station owned by the @kcpublicschools. And 59 years later, we have grown to be a legacy service for a limitless future, thanks to you, KC. You have made every year a thrill! 🥂#KCPTturns59#59AndFeelinFine
@QuintonLucasKC @B_Abstract @KCMOBudget Yes, we were looking for the document that is currently being voted on so we can tweet a screenshot out to our followers to showcase that the money is in there, with a line item within and THAT is what will be voted on.
Thank you!
Hello @KCMOBudget and @QuintonLucasKC. We know these are unprecedented times, but has the budget been adopted by the city? And does it include that $200K line item for the Film Office? We were encouraged by the conversation we had last week and are following up on that. Thx!
Does @QuintonLucasKC understand how vulnerable the arts community is now, more than ever?
These were not people who were making money hand over fist. Many KC artists struggle to pay their bills, even those who are seen as "successful" in the community.
The current, proposed budget will decimate what the arts has worked for well over a decade to do.
This is not why you were voted into office, @QuintonLucasKC . Nobody in KC was calling for an arts cut. It wasn't your platform.
Why do this??? https://t.co/kxa2dl6sCg
