Early scripts for some cutscenes in Separate Ways found in the PS5 files.
In this thread, I will be posting each raw dev video extracted from the PS5 files. No edits, no cuts, nothing.
Each post will include a translation by me as an image, followed by the raw dev video.
@BrayanO67990602@peachruins I'm always interested in restoring or recreating interesting stuff (if there's enough data), like Ashley's cut weapon. The issue is that there's not enough data, and how it was used would be speculation. I don't like the idea of reusing Luis's animation either.
Combat moves that were cut from RE4 Remake and an unused placeholder music for the opening narration of Leon ("September 30th, 1998").
- Wall hide: The animations of Leon hiding against a wall are still in the files, including some code of how it worked.
- Ladder slide: An alternative animation for going down ladders that's still in the files.
- Dodge step: 4 animations, one in each direction, to do a step dodge, which also includes some code of how it was triggered.
About the music, I have identified it as "Windmills" by Ludwig Göransson from the Tenet soundtrack. It's in both the PC and PS5 files. If you want to check it yourself: ch_mva000_se.spck (the streaming one), ID 1048099096. In the video I play it over the final intro, since only the audio is the unused version.
After much effort, after obtained Yuri mod from amazing @keff0m and a failed attempt to do it myself, an incredibly kind friend from RE Wiki installed it on his PC and now I finally have images of REV3's Yuri, the disrespected russian criminal who helped Wesker in 2003 #REBHFun
All the claims made about the datamining have no evidence, and I can't support them either. There is no Jill_Support, no standing point and nothing related to Ada.
I don't know if they were in the game at some point or not, but that would be speculation since there's no evidence. The game's code and files don't support any of these claims.
The mansion is the care center, nothing related to Spencer's mansion. In fact, I didn't find anything related to Spencer's mansion. Whether it existed or not, there's no evidence of it in the game's code or files. In my original tweet, I was just pointing out the level flow "HotelAngelaBattle_Main".

Resident Evil Requiem still ships an alternative skeleton of an older and early campaign
Inside the game's files there's a small dev file called OLD_LevelFlowProgressiveNoUserData. Files like this register which level flows get their progress saved in your save file. The retail game uses its own version of this file plus per-chapter files that register every battle area, puzzle and event of each chapter.
The old file is loaded only by the dev menu scene, and it registers just 9 flows. None of them exist in the final game (in file order):
1. AbandonedFactory_Main
2. HotelAngelaBattle_Main
3. MansionG1st_Main
4. MansionL1st_Main
5. Prologue_Main
6. HotelRescuePart_Main
7. Chap3_102L_Main
8. Chap3_102G_Main
9. Chap3_50_Main
G = Grace, L = Leon.
The most interesting one is "HotelAngelaBattle_Main". Angela only shows up in this flow name. Besides this file, the game's code only has "HotelAngelaBattle" in its list of level flow names, and that's it. There's no model, voice, text or character anywhere that tells who she was.
The only similar naming I found is "OldHUNKBattle", a flow in one developer's test list, which matches the Hunk boss fight that shipped in the final game under a different name. So "HotelAngelaBattle" could mean an encounter with someone called Angela at the hotel, but nothing left in the files confirms it.
@MTZ10x@narfeyeron I never talked about the mansion in my original tweet. The mansion is the care center, nothing related to Spencer's mansion. In fact, I didn't find anything related to Spencer's mansion. Whether it existed or not, there's no evidence of it in the game's code or files.

I searched for leftovers of it about a month ago and didn't find anything. The game's internal chapter numbering skips straight from 1 to 3, and the director has confirmed a Chapter 2 was cut. I'll also say that the Abandoned Factory (where Leon appears in his first cutscene before moving on) looks like a level that was cut. I still have to organize and prepare all the evidence, so it's something pending.
@keff0m Do you think you could find some files or something about the chapter that was cut from Re9... I remember seeing something about an entire chapter that was cut.
I think that would be interesting.
@keff0m
I speculate that Chapter 0 was in dev in early 2022. I have no idea at which point it was cut though. The game was done on disc by December 2022. Take my speculation for what it is, I'm not confirming it as a fact.
I also searched for triggers of cut dialogues, but they're lost too. Even when content is cut, sometimes the dialogue triggers survive (even if the dialogue itself doesn't).

More details about Chapter 0 that I didn't know at the time:
- In the level there are three spots where Ashley was meant to get startled: by a crow taking off, by a loud noise and by rats swarming a corpse. They never play because her animation table has no entry for them (the animations in the video are reused from other parts of the game, so they're not the official ones for these spots).
- There's a disabled camera (cut content of the cut content) for Luis's sequence. It seems that they experimented with a fixed camera before changing it to the camera moving to the bridge directly.
🐥The Cut Chapter 0 from Resident Evil 4 Remake is now playable as a fan mod.
Chapter 0 was originally planned as a short prologue with Ashley, taking place at night before Leon arrives at the village. It was cut during development, but parts of the chapter remained in the game files and were restored by modder Keff0.
🔦Ashley starts alone in an area that is inaccessible in the final game. She comes across the cultists killing the woman from the game's opening cutscene, then runs through the village while Ganados patrol the area. Luis can also be seen being carried away by one of them. The chapter ends with Ashley being captured at the fort, followed by Chapter 1 with Leon.

@Kuropiko4 Do an REFramework SDK dump and search for something like ChargeTackle. It'll show up. There's more, of course, but here's a screenshot of some stuff to search for.
In RE Requiem, a boss fight with Zeno was cut. A lot of code remains, detailing his attacks and AI behavior. Judging by how much code is left, I think the fight was pretty much finished. All assets are gone from PC and PS5, so it can't be restored.
He had combos, a slow heavy punch, a charge tackle (a dash toward the player), a dive attack (he jumps and keeps re-aiming his landing spot at the player), parries, a weapon steal/blow, a sniper phase (he breaks off melee and runs to set perches), and a "throw".
I think it would be weird if Capcom didn't recycle it at some point, maybe in the DLC, who knows. The Ghost Survivors was supposed to be a roguelike in RE2R, and it was recycled into what we have today.
