The US empire is waging a neocolonial assault all across Latin America.
The US blatantly meddled in Colombia's election. Trump and Marco Rubio backed the far-right, multimillionaire candidate Abelardo de la Espriella (a defender of fascist paramilitaries), and there are serious irregularities in the results.
Colombia's current left-wing President Gustavo Petro has been very pro-Palestine and pro-China. He cut relations with the genocidal Israeli regime and joined China's Belt and Road Initiative.
De la Espriella vows to form a close alliance with the US and Israel, and minimize relations with China. Just a few weeks before the elections, he was in Florida, meeting with far-right US politicians who are close allies of Trump and Rubio.
The same thing is happening across the continent. The US carried out a blatant electoral coup in Honduras, to put a drug cartel-linked, pro-US, pro-Israel, anti-China puppet in power.
The US is currently trying to steal the election in Peru, to put the daughter of the fascist former dictator in power.
The US empire already has far-right puppets in power in Argentina, Chile, and Ecuador. The leader of Chile is the Pinochet-defending son of a Nazi war criminal. The dictator of Ecuador is the son of the country's richest billionaire oligarch.
Brazil is the next target of the US empire's neocolonial assault, in this year's election.
This is the colonial Monroe Doctrine in the neo-fascist era.
🇨🇴 President Petro Tells His Lawyers to STORM the Vote Count
He wants every democratic lawyer in Colombia at the national count center in Bogotá, en masse, to fight the scrutiny station by station.
More than 33,000 polling stations are already challenged. He demands the U.S. tables fall too, plus every station hit by the server IP change.
Then the warning he has never said this plainly: if Abelardo's side erases the other half of the nation's project, that is the beginning of FASCISM.
Resist, stay orderly, do not give the fascist groups the confrontation they are waiting for.
He says he leaves with blocked accounts, no money, his life threatened, and his daughter heartbroken.
The EU claims that the “Hitler-Stalin Pact of 1939” enabled WWII. It omits ten crucial facts:
- The Soviet Union was not even among the first ten countries to enter into treaties and non-aggression pacts with Nazi Germany. In 1939 alone, Lithuania, Romania, Denmark, Italy, Estonia and Latvia all signed non-aggression pacts with Hitler. Poland entered into one as far back as 1934.
- The Soviet Union tried to form an anti-fascist alliance throughout the 1930s, and was repeatedly rebuffed by European powers.
- Despite that, the Soviet Union was the most powerful bulwark against fascism before the war. The International Brigades in Spain represent the most concrete example of organised antifascist military resistance before Hitler’s invasion of Poland. These Brigades were led by communist parties armed by the Soviet Union, who were abandoned by Western “democracies” and their policies of "non-intervention” which simply left German and Italian intervention uncontested.
- In that same tradition, Stalin offered to send one million troops to deter Hitler’s aggression during the 1938 Sudetenland crisis. Poland and Romania objected, while France and Britain decided to pursue appeasement. That appeasement aimed in part at ensuring that Germany’s energies were directed eastwards, against communism.
- The Soviet Union was the primary target of German imperialism. The USSR’s leadership was aware of this from the early 1930s — and Germany’s leadership did not hide the fact. Hitler had repeatedly promised that Germany would be the “bulwark" of the West against “Bolshevism”, a position that found broad sympathies among the Western ruling classes. Auschwitz was first built to house Soviet POWs, 3.5 million of whom were exterminated during the war.
- Nazi Germany was simply the turning inwards of Western European colonialism. It was in modern-day Namibia that Germany’s Imperial Chancery recorded perhaps the first use of the term Konzentrationslager — the concentration camp — to describe an instrument of mass extermination.
- Adolf Hitler drew particular inspiration from the US settler-colonial model. He remarked approvingly how the US settlers had “gunned down the millions of Redskins to a few hundred thousand and now keep the modest remnants under observation in a cage”. He sent jurists to study the US Jim Crow laws, which formed the basis of the infamous Nuremberg Laws.
- The Red Army liberated Auschwitz, then liberated Europe. If not for the US, which moved quickly to suffocate the rising communist movements on the continent, we might have seen socialism rise at least in Greece, Italy, France and, eventually, Portugal.
- After the war, West Germany quickly reneged on the Potsdam Agreement, filled its security services with former Nazis. NATO, also filled with former Nazis, was founded to wage war on socialism and anti-colonial struggles. In the process it resuscitated the Wehrmacht and paved the way for the German revanchism we are seeing today.
- As a result, we have endured decades of US-led imperial hegemony, whose effects are a dying planet and tens of millions of lives stolen by imperialist wars and sanctions alone. That hegemony has absorbed and expanded the historical mission of fascism, carrying it forward into a new century. Gaza is the clearest expression of that process today — but it is by no means the only one.
The most honest American presidents, in their most honest moments, have said the quiet part.
Eisenhower warned about the military-industrial complex in his farewell address.
He built it for eight years and then warned about it on his way out the door, when it no longer mattered for his political career.
Carter said America had an "inordinate fear of communism" that led it to support dictators.
Obama said the United States had "tortured some folks" and then made sure none of them were prosecuted.
Every admission comes after the fact, stripped of consequence, wrapped in enough hedging language that it cannot be used as evidence in any real accounting.
They tell you something is wrong.
They make sure nothing changes.
And then the next administration arrives and does the same things with fresh confidence and the whole cycle continues, while the admissions accumulate in quote databases and congressional records, and nothing, NOTHING, is ever actually done about the picture they collectively describe.
The confessions are part of the system.
Confession without consequence is not accountability.
It is performance.
They genuinely believe they won the Cold War because their ideas were better.
Not because they outspent the Soviet Union militarily until the Soviet economy broke.
Not because they were willing to proxy-war across four continents and leave millions dead in the process.
Not because they propped up any dictatorship, no matter how brutal, as long as it was anti-communist.
Their ideas. Their values. The inherent appeal of the American way of life.
This is what they tell themselves.
And from inside the bubble, it makes perfect sense.
From outside the bubble, you see a country that spent nearly half a century destroying any alternative that emerged, not because the alternative was failing, but because it might succeed, and success would disprove the story.
You don't need to suppress bad ideas.
You only need to suppress the ones that might work.
Trump is not America gone wrong.
He is America gone honest.
A nation built on stolen land, slave labor, permanent war, and industrial myth was never going to age into wisdom.
It was always going to rot into narcissism.
It was always going to confuse bullying with leadership.
It was always going to mistake wealth for virtue and violence for destiny.
Trump is that rot speaking in capital letters.
This is a reprehensible post for X to allow, targeting @s_m_marandi and putting a bounty on him. It is also a "Paid partnership." Imagine the outcry if a pro-Palestinian or pro-Iranian group did this with Israelis or Americans. Criminal charges would be filed.
BREAKING: 'The Earthquake Faction' launches by setting ablaze Elbit's Israeli weapons manufacturing centre in the Czech Republic.
The site was built to "service the global expansion of Israel's biggest weapons producer".
No one was harmed, but photos show the site destroyed.
I don't have "deep insights" about Americans as a species.
I have memory.
And I have pattern recognition sharpened by what it means to live under the consequences of decisions Americans call "foreign policy."
You grow up Vietnamese, you learn early that there are two parallel realities:
The one you live through.
And the one narrated about you on American television, in speeches, in films, in history books.
My family lived through the moment when American abstractions like "credibility" and "containing communism" stopped sounding strategic and became physical:
Bomb craters. Refugee boats. Bodies.
You watch villages renamed "collateral."
You watch coups renamed "restoring democracy."
You watch blockades renamed "pressure for reform."
You watch your dead filed away as "tragedy" so that no one has to call them what they were: crimes.
After a while, you stop getting angry at every sentence.
You start studying the grammar.
Who gets to remain human in the story.
Who gets turned into an adjective.
Whose violence is "regrettable," and whose resistance is "terrorism."
Which lives are allowed complexity, and which lives are flattened into body counts, talking points, and background noise.
Then you hear Americans speak about entirely different places, entirely different wars, entirely different enemies, and the same grammar is still there:
"Intervention" instead of invasion.
"Stability" instead of control.
"Responsibility" instead of domination.
"Sanctions" instead of siege.
If you grow up with that long enough, you learn that what empire calls "responsibility" usually means someone far away is about to bleed.
That's where my "insight" comes from.
From watching the same software run on different hardware.
From listening closely to the metaphors they don't even notice they're using anymore.
From realizing that, for a lot of good, ordinary people, this isn't malice. It's the water they were raised in.
The story is always written from the cockpit, never from the crater.
So when I write about American exceptionalism, I'm not claiming mystical access to "your people."
I am describing the hallucination I've been forced to survive under since I was born.
And once you see the pattern from outside the blast radius, it becomes almost impossible not to see it everywhere.
🚨 Watch the moment the “Ukrainian gold convoy” was stopped.
In the video: armored cash vehicles carrying $40M, €35M and 9 kg of gold through 🇭🇺 Hungary toward Ukraine. Among those detained was a former Ukrainian intelligence general.
This is not an ordinary transfer. Since January alone, over $900M, €420M and 146 kg of gold have reportedly moved through Hungary toward Ukraine.
Convoys of cash and gold escorted by intelligence-linked individuals raise serious questions.
Hungarian authorities are investigating — now those behind this operation must explain exactly what this money was meant to finance.
