@tnsampson2@Primary_Pianist "In Mormonism, there are two main commandments: love God and love your neighbor"
Why, thank you for basically saying that LDS members actually do read the Bible to understand and be obedient to Christ's teachings... You should try it, as in, reading the Bible to understand it.
@TheGermanicist I don't think I ever didn't know it was true. As a lifelong member, the stories and teachings always made sense. Every time I've read it, I feel a confirmation that it's true. I think I knew it was true when I first understood (and came to love) Nephi's story, at an early age.
@Ragnar_ADABTC@Sarahsred7 So, as a member of the LDS Church, I have zero problem with them getting a stipend or whatever. I'm much more worried about them getting sick or dying, because I'm grateful for their service. I invite you to hear their messages, https://t.co/K4uweA9ydW.
Wishing you much peace ✌️
@Ragnar_ADABTC@Sarahsred7 Ok, but do you understand that it is needed in some cases? For example, the First Presidency, they receive just enough for them to do what they've been called to do, and that is to serve for the rest of their lives, quite literally until death. Not everyone is willing to do that.
@mu11igan@Orthographix@TracerBuIlet@Primary_Pianist Ever read "The Family, A Proclamation to the world", published in 1995, written by prophetic revelation? Not too soon after and since, many ideologies have surfaced to deeply attack the nuclear family, and that document, if received by the Spirit, can anchor you in God's truth.
@Ragnar_ADABTC@Sarahsred7 I'd have to look at what exactly is covered with the stipend, but do you really think they get it to just be sitting around, doing nothing?
No, they've actually given their lives over to the work of the Lord, all in the service of others.
Would you be willing to do the same?
If I ever wonder what I should be doing as a disciple of Christ, I'm reminded as I partake of the Sacrament: take His name upon me, always remember Him and keep His commandments.
So grateful to be able to attend a worship service every Sunday.

@defense_of_fam This, and "The Mountain of the Lord", were part of my Sundays in my teenage yrs... Also, the Seminary videos soundtracks (Love the BoM song, 'In Our Day'), and John Bytheway's "Get An Attitude" talk...
@nicoraytruth I grew up in the Church, and as a teenager, felt I needed to gain my own testimony. Everything became real to me the moment I KNEW that I was a literal child of God, that a literal Heavenly Father is waiting for me to return to Him because He loves me, and I love Him.
@flabbytofit99 I'm the youngest of 4, now in my 40s. 3 yrs ago, I'm sitting, wedged, between my parents at Church, something that hadn't happened in a long time. I didn't know it would be my dad's last Sunday. Now I cherish that memory, the feeling of being so loved. A tender mercy ❤️
I mean.... "...my cup runneth over..." and it's only been 2 sessions! What an amazing #GeneralConference ❤️
Enjoying watching all the love between the leaders as they say hi to each other... it's the love found everywhere among @Ch_JesusChrist members, all over the world! 🥰
What a wonderful 1st session of the April 2026 General Conference. My heart felt heavy last week, but now it's so full... can't wait for the remainder 3 sessions. Also, I can't stop crying as I watch the World Report...

@marcado_razon When will you?
Attacking another Christian church (it's in the name) is not very Christian of you, nor is it compassionate... an utterly waste of time. Your time should be better spent preaching the word of God to the unbelievers.
Be better, do better.
The road to redemption began with “hosanna.” As we remember the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, may our hearts welcome Him this Easter season.
Happy Palm Sunday ❤️
My heart feels heavy, not sure why... but I trust in my God, and I know that everything will be alright. Because Jesus died for me and rose on the 3rd day, everything will be alright.
My dad passed away in 2023. His name is no longer in our Ward's directory. Kinda sad at first, but I understand. Still, I'm curious to know what happens to a member's name once they've passed on and thought I'd ask here on X...
@Ch_JesusChrist#ldschurch@FamilySearch
@justnbrady @ATrueMillennial I believe this is what happened with the prophet Joseph Smith and the 116 lost manuscript pages. He was told no on 2 occasions, but when he kept insisting, he was told to go ahead... the prophet learned a great lesson from this experience, and so can we.
I'm grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints @Ch_JesusChrist Tonight, I feel most grateful for the #BookofMormon, for its teachings, like : never let go of the iron rod (1Ne11:25) and always remember, "wickedness never was happiness" (Alma41:11)
@TeeplesCY Funny how "people are leaving the Church" so fast, yet here where I live in Canada, in the dead of winter, a whole small branch was newly created, they will start meeting on Feb 22... flowers are blooming in the desert, because the Gospel is true, the Church is true. ❤️
