@ProspectsUsmnt You're right it's not the talent pool. Wilkinson decided local talent isn't worth it and set us back a decade by willingly choosing to ignore the academy setup. It's getting better and we're starting to see some signs, but still a bit too early to see serious success stories
@andrew_wiebe The majority of Timbers fans feel bad for him on a human level. He truly embraced the city and the club, but it was clearly time (or beyond time) to try something new in Portland
@tombogert@GerGarciaGrova@andrew_wiebe timbers just lost our best midfielder on a terrible price because the dude decided he wants to play with Messi, but we should just be more ambitious right? Lol
@FIFABrit@andrew_wiebe@SShiv612@NinoOne@aufcXylph It's not illegal and I'm not saying it is. But it's still an advantage that no other team has, and I think it's silly to say every other team should "simply be as ambitious as Miami"
@andrew_wiebe@SShiv612@NinoOne@aufcXylph It's not just "one dude who got the deal". It's the other players taking less money to play with that one dude. In a salary cap league, that's just an advantage nobody else has! Why are we pretending it's not?
@royalriothayden Absolutely cannot go into next season with Rwan Cruz as a DP. Olatunji has earned that spot, now go use the DP slot to upgrade elsewhere
@Tbyrnes2@andrew_wiebe It's been 2 full seasons now and we've gotten worse with a better roster, plus the team looks very disorganized and there has never been a clear game plan besides "play with courage and be brave", which we don't do
