It’s frustrating and hurtful when some ppl still chuckle at derogatory terms used against trans women. I thought what Billy Porter tried to do with The Life at Encores! is bring empathy and awareness… that it has never been acceptable.

For example in musical theater the music department really have to be ready to reconstruct and put some effort to balance what the sound is gonna be. Costumes, choreography… Are they actually willing to do that?

They just have to say that or are they actually ready for conversations and creativity in the production itself?
