I’m about to teach the heart to my Year 10 class and remember a great online example of how to do it by live drawing - but can’t for the life of me find it again! Any ideas who/where? @Dr_Castelino @adamboxer1
@aliceleung I know it’s not really the answer you’re looking for (and apologies if you’re already doing this), but training the kids to do it themselves ftw. I have 4 and can’t manage making those, and they need to learn sometime!
Another behaviour thread: Why tactically ignoring is often a bad idea.
Scenario: A student is committing a minor infraction in the lesson. Rocking on their chair, chewing gum etc..
Teachers are commonly recommended to tactically ignore small infractions like these..1/13
@cogscisci Holy smokes - in one sense I’m glad I’m not in person as it would be impossible to choose between so many cracking talks! But psyched to be watching from Aus!
***COMPETITION***
Oops, silly me. I ordered 4 too many copies of my KS3 physics workbook so *have* to give some away.

@RogersHistory @TMEnglishIcons @tmscienceicons @TMMathsIcons @TMHistoryIcons I read the beginning of your tweet as if it was one word and belonged in the Transformers universe - the Autobots, Decepticons and Teachmeeticons 😂
@aliceleung Has she ever been a teacher though? Not denigrating her expertise in her field (don’t know enough about her to comment, really) but I would think that experiencing a classroom ought to be a pre-requisite for the role.
@adamboxer1 I haven’t tried with a whole turkey before, but I know that for a chicken spatchcocking the bird helps to address that issue (got that one from The Food Lab) and they recommend it for turkey too. Challenge would be a dish big enough to handle a spatchcocked turkey!
