@MarcPDumont And if this rumour is true, let's not forget that George McPhee said "no, take Suzuki instead". It's just a fact that for most people Glass was the better prospect.
@jamespmcleod I used to have a Roman history teacher who would say things like "and then we had 40 years of good government, which we're not going to talk about."
Or as that curse goes, "may you live in interesting times."
@WaveIntel On that goal I think he made the right play. He cut the outlet pass, and had space to move into the offensive zone. I think the mistake was made by Dvorak, who circled behind Kovacevic. There was no need to turn that into a 4 on 2 at that point. He should have stayed back imo.
@TitusNation Today I learned that biologists have a hierarchy, with some being higher than others. Do biologists have a Queen? Do they call her the Queen B?
@iTheHabsGuy He's 6 months older than Jordan Harris. A year older than Dach, Caufield, and Xhekaj. He played two years in the NHL, under Claude Julien and Dominic Ducharme.
He is not a finished product by any stretch.
@tottibure @big_T_580_West Gainey/Gauthier managed to turn Koivu, Kovalev, Tanguay, Souray, Komisarek, Hainsey, and Beauchemin into... nothing. Not even one lousy single draft pick.
I mean, that's pretty bad.
@shoukri_will@BWildeMTL@PaBeauchemin It's the age at which he spent most of the season. Which was 17. He turned 18 at the end of March. In other words these are the stats from his draft year.
@RexChapman I think it's kind of scary that they needed six cops to resolve this. When she called 911 did she say that there was a "black man" in the car?
@lori10habs@MAGodin@TheAthletic I think a lot of that flexibility goes away if Dach signs for the @EricEngels rumored $3.5 million. You can play around with Byron and Monahan on LTIR, but both are expected back this season (before X-mas even) so it gets real complicated then.
@mattF54681274@emilynussbaum There are serious issues with the Canadian health care system. Issues that we Canadians need to address. But when talking about improving the Canadian system the vast majority of us want to be more like the Scandinavian countries. Very few want to move to a US style system.
@BWildeMTL I guess the "children are the future" and "I work hard so that my kids will have a better life" is lost on them. Why would you want your kids to work three jobs to pay back their student loans, just because you had to do it??
@InRodWeTrustMTL It's not necessarily about comparing PP to Trump. It's about the style, the messaging, the fear-mongering, conspiracies, and the remaking of what we consider to be civil discourse. Won't be long now before Canadian politicians are crying about "stolen elections" and all that.
