After the latest nervous moment at the Washington Hilton (home of the largest ballroom in DC, where presidents often appear) I’m coming around to the idea of a ballroom on the grounds of the White House. I don’t love all of the changes to the WH, I would urge modesty over regalia, but it probably is time to stop having state dinners in tents or events in hotels. Just sayin.
