We didn’t and don’t have a dedicated anti-Trump office. We didn’t adopt that model and it was the right decision. We brought our existing team to the fight and we won again and again — and will continue to — even as and we continued doing the other critical work of the Office. We fight for you everyday, regardless of party affiliation, protecting RI’s budget and RI’ers fundamental rights from unlawful, unprecedented federal overreach, fighting crime, fighting for our access to healthcare, fighting for everyday Rhode Islanders, fighting public corruption, fighting for our environment, and the list goes on.
As Keith introduces himself to voters, the more his campaign takes off.
I’ve closely worked with him for seven years.
He is unquestionably the most talented, independent candidate in this race.
He uniquely understands what the Office can and must deliver for RI’ers today.
ICYMI: I’m honored and grateful to have received the most support from the @ridemchairs last night.
These local leaders are the backbone of our party. They organize, recruit, volunteer, and do the hard work of building Democratic strength in every community across our state.
Their confidence in our campaign means a great deal to me. I’m thankful for their support, and I look forward to continuing to earn the trust of Democratic leaders and voters across our state as we continue build a safer, stronger, and fairer Rhode Island for all of us.
A rough night for two Dem incumbents
Local @RIDemParty chairs voted to endorse Foulkes for gov and Xay for LG, snubbing McKee and Matos (just as they did in 2022; both still won)
No endorsement for AG, but @keithhoffmann says he got the most votes https://t.co/D1QU3qKNcJ

“Today is about an opportunity for victims of clergy sexual abuse, and sexual abuse more broadly, to find justice and through that justice, healing,” @AGNeronha said during Monday’s announcement.

Rachel and I publicly released all 95 pages of our tax returns — every dollar earned and every dollar paid in taxes.
We’re the only Attorney General campaign to provide complete disclosure.
At a time when public confidence in government has been badly damaged by corruption and dishonesty, Rhode Islanders deserve more than a peek through the front door window. They deserve to walk through the whole house.
We opened the whole house because we have nothing to hide.
POLITICAL SCENE: MOST of RI's top office candidates/officeholders released their income tax filings to us, at our request. But there were a handful of exceptions.
Here's what we found:

Memorial Day is a solemn day to honor the men and women who gave their lives serving our country.
My father died from cancer linked to Agent Orange exposure during his service in Vietnam. Like so many military families, ours knows the costs of war can be carried for generations.
Today, we remember and honor our fallen service members by striving every day to build a country worthy of their sacrifice.
One of the things I respect most about Steve Ahlquist is how hard he works to ask real questions and dig into issues that matter to Rhode Islanders. He’s one of the hardest working journalists in our state.
We recently sat down for a wide-ranging conversation about my campaign for Attorney General, my experience in the AG’s Office, and the challenges facing Rhode Island.
I hope you’ll give it a read: https://t.co/lsb11kd66W
The administration at Roger Williams University is making a serious mistake. They’re violating their employees’ contract, and they could be breaking the law.
As Attorney General, I’ll ensure that if we need additional tools to efficiently and effectively enforce workers’ rights that have been derided by the Trump administration — wage and hour, prevailing wage, and workplace safety protections — we will partner with stakeholders to get it done, just as I’ve fought for alongside AG Neronha.
The administration at Roger Williams University is wrong to violate its contract with faculty and professional staff. They could be breaking the law. And this comes at a time when working people are already under enormous pressure.
At the national level, Donald Trump and his administration have weakened labor protections and undermined the agencies responsible for protecting workers’ rights. Rhode Island cannot move in that direction.
If RWU is facing financial challenges, leadership should come to the table honestly and transparently, not impose unpaid furloughs that take money out of workers’ pockets while protecting executive compensation.
That’s why I was proud to stand with the RWU Faculty Association, RWU Professional Staff Union, and RWU Facilities Union alongside NEARI, UFCW Local 328, and Rhode Island AFL-CIO leaders to demand something simple: honor the contract.
As Attorney General, I’ll continue fighting for working people, enforcing worker protections, and ensuring Rhode Island stands up for all of us
@ferllyr Happy to give you another reason not to vote for me. You or your loves ones will still benefit from what this union did and continues to do if they end up needing care at Butler.
I was proud to stand with SEIU 1199NE healthcare workers as they planted flowers at the site of last summer’s strike at Butler Hospital.
Frontline healthcare workers do some of the hardest and most important work in our communities. The lesson from Butler is clear: when we invest in safe staffing, fair pay, and better working conditions, patient care improves and workplace violence declines.
Rhode Islanders deserve a healthcare system that values both patients and the workers who care for them. We cannot strengthen our healthcare system by understaffing facilities or underpaying the frontline professionals people depend on in moments of crisis.
As Attorney General, I’ll always stand up for patients, protect workers, and fight for a safer, stronger, and fairer Rhode Island for all of us.
Retired Federal Judge William E. Smith calls this the wrong Q for the committee and warns of surrendering legislative prerogative to the judiciary (2/2)
Great night in the Blackstone Valley! Nearly 100 friends and neighbors joined us Monday at Cumberland House of Pizza to support our campaign and celebrate alongside family and friends.
Heather Chea and I were especially grateful to celebrate our birthdays with cakes from Josie’s Ice Cream. I was honored to be joined by Attorney General Neronha and Mayor Mutter as we talked about the importance of having an Attorney General with the integrity, experience, and independence to fight every day for the people of Rhode Island.
Thank you to everyone who came out, shared birthday wishes, and continues to power this campaign with such incredible energy and support!

Last night, I had the opportunity to join the Narragansett Democratic Town Committee for a great conversation about the issues facing Rhode Islanders and the future of our state.
Thank you to Chairwoman Susan Cicilline Buonanno and the entire committee for the warm welcome, thoughtful questions, and engaging discussion. I’m grateful for the chance to connect with voters across Rhode Island — and for the new hat!
I’m grateful to have Mayor Jeff Mutter’s support.
He’s seen how I approach this work and what I’ll bring to the Attorney General’s office. He put his thoughts into a letter here: https://t.co/pJjDpnnK03
