Tony Lazzaro, the GOP donor arrested this month on child sex trafficking charges, is asking a federal judge to release him to his Minneapolis condo on ankle and video monitoring.

Lazzaro has been jailed in Sherburne County since Aug. 12.

He's set to be in court at 2 p.m.

As I mentioned above, Barway lived across the street from Becker Park in Crystal. This is the park that received a huge renovation over the past few years. I'd like to think that Barway would have enjoyed the new park, but he was robbed of the experience by his own father.

About a month after he disappeared, Barway's body was found by a group of Boy Scouts who had joined many other members of the community in the search efforts.

In March of 2015 I was a brand new councilmember in Crystal. Barway's case sent a shockwave through the city, and as these things often do, brought our community together in shared grief over a shared tragedy.

On March 18, 2015, this beautiful child, Barway Collins, was murdered by his own father. Barway lived in Crystal, right across the street from Becker Park.
