And checking the airport trip on two other local cab apps, Yellow Cab and Current Taxi, the price difference is much less. They both come in around $58ish bucks.
The only real take away seems to be shop around for any given trip. Or take the bus.
Just a quick experiment as Uber launches in Victoria, their app showed 4 cars on the road and quoted about $14 for a ride from the @CHEK_News station to the legislature vs ~$11 on the Bluebird Taxi app. For a ride to @Fly_YYJ Uber quoted $51 vs $73 for Bluebird.
