On any given weekend or afternoon, my house sounds like my husband and 5 year old playing Mario kart in the living room and baby coos while I nurse our youngest in his nursery. I win. I won. THIS is the actual lottery and I’ve hit the jackpot. 💙🩵
And I’m not talking about toxic positivity. Just general positivity - looking on the bright side, seeing things through a brighter lens, finding the joy in anything, etc. It’s really not that hard, but it does take work.
When Sydney doesn’t respond to my texts fast enough for my liking, I check her location to see what could possibly be holding her up from responding to her bestie. Rn she’s driving. I don’t see how that’s more important than ME, but ok I guess.
3rd grade: “LETS GOOOOOOO! I was hoping it was you!!!”
vs.
5th grade: *slams hands on desk* *throws head down* “OH MY GODDDDDDDDDD, I don’t even want to go anymore.”
