"In South Africa the poor, who are actually the majority, are often treated like criminals.
This is a long way from the promise of freedom and equality that came with the end of Apartheid, says Kelebogile Motswatswa."

@UberEats You charged me three times for one order last week Saturday. I sent a complaint, it's been over a week, still, nothing has been done. Ya'll seriously need to improve on your customer support. It's utterly appalling. Please advise on how I can get my issue resolved.
I’m seeing too many obscure tweets, no mention of Thando Mgqolozana’s name, no clear stance on the abuse allegations against him, deflections to the ‘literary community’ versus what people themselves think. Say what you mean, guys.
This weekend it has come to light that a writer and founder of Abantu, Thando Mgqolozana has been accused of Intimate Partner Violence.
We stand with Thabisa. We believe her. We hope that she is safe and supported.
I am just catching up on the abuse accusations against Thando Mgqolozana.
I am simply here to say that I believe her and I hope that she is being held and loved and protected right now. ❤️

Patriachy cheated men by reducing their role to that of a provider when parenting is less about what you give materially to what you give emotionally and spiritually.
Medical aids are the worst. Still won't cover an admission because of a waiting period, even though I'm desperate. Disappointed, the way the system treats those who are chronically ill. Tried to appeal to Discovery but nothing, I have to wait for a bed at a state facility. 💔
Be kind to people. As the Covid death toll rises, South Africa is in a complex state of collective grief, with none of the usual support structures available. Our people are hurting, and healing isn't easy when human touch is not available.
