YOUR TIMES ARE IN GOD'S HANDS

“And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding.” - (Daniel 2:21)

Years ago, there was a lady who had been trusting God for a partner for many years until she reached menopause. During a crusade, I said that everyone should ask God for whatever they wanted, and the lady turned to God and said, "Lord, I am not going to bother you about a husband anymore. There is no point, as I can no longer have a child. I will serve you all the same anyway.” The Almighty God heard her, and not long after that, a man came to her and said, "Thus saith the Lord, you are to be my wife.” Surprised, she asked him to go and pray again to be sure that he had heard from God. However, the man insisted that he had prayed and heard from God. Then she asked him, "Don't you want children? Because I can't have children at my age." The man replied, "That is not a problem because I already have children. I lost my wife, and all I need now is a companion and a mother for my children." They got married, and the woman who thought that she could no longer have children gave birth to a set of twins nine months later. God is not limited by time at all; He can speed up time or reverse it as He pleases.

God holds times and seasons in His hands, and He can change them however He pleases (Daniel 2:21). If men say it is over for you, ignore them. God is the only One who has the final say in your life; He is Alpha and Omega (Revelation 1:8). When men said it was over for Abraham and Sarah, God reversed the time and caused them to laugh (Genesis 21:6-7). Even when Lazarus’ sisters thought that he was dead and gone, Jesus came and announced, "I am the resurrection and the life” (John 11:25)

When God visits a fellow, He restores any wasted years that might exist in his or her life. As long as you are alive and God is your Father, your time is not gone. Your times are in God's hands, and if He hasn't said it is over, who are you to say that your time has passed? Confess God's word and not your present reality. Only God has the right to close your case, and since you are still alive, it means that He hasn't closed it, and He still has a lot in store for you.

KEY POINT:
As long as you are still alive, God can control times and seasons to favour you.

Dear Pilgrim,

In the present day, many who claim to be part of the household of faith don't care if compromise replaces holiness unto God. They don't care if leaders or members are engaging in illicit sex; fornicating or committing adultery, or if those who claim to speak for Jesus dabble into a "little" withcraft, sorcery, or divination. Their primary burden is to keep the machinery of religion roaring and the wheels of revenue turning.

The emphasis now is what will make men famous, trend, gain "influence" or amass money. But be guided - these by all means must be peddled in the name Jesus and under the cloak of advancing the Kingdom of Christ and changing culture.

Like a brother, accurately noted:
"You can talk like the world, drink like the world, dress like the world, and live like the world. They dont care. If you can drop a gospel single, pack out auditoriums, preach, and prophesy in a way that tickles people's emotions and makes people feel good and comfortable living in sin, nobody really cares anymore. Let's just keep having church."

Nothing is sacred anymore! The abomination of desolation now stands in the holy place. Goats are almost overrunning the sheep fold.

These are the days where we must cry that the Lord gives us eyes that see, ears that hear, and hearts that understand. For the command of God hasn't changed - Come out from amongst them and be ye separate!

3 THINGS THAT MAKE YOUR FASTING POWERFUL | APOSTLE JOSHUA SELMAN

Prayer and fasting—please pray. I will not give you rules, but let me challenge you. If you are a serious Christian, this is my personal opinion. At least there should be a day once a week for you to fast. If that is too much, then forget about revival. Believe me, this is not a doctrine I'm giving you—there's no place like that in scripture. But I'm telling you, if you are called into ministry, let me challenge you and admonish you by the mercies of God: except you want to make a mockery of yourself and a mockery of the name of the Lord through your life, there is a level of stamina.

You have to trust God for grace to tame food. It is good to eat. I'm not one of those people who advocate extreme fasting—people have died through carelessness and died the death of fools. That's not what I'm teaching you. You want to lay hands on the sick and see miracles? You want to speak the word of God and let it come with power? Man of God, pray. There are some of us who are young, who are just starting, and already we are careless—one month, no prayer, no fasting. I hope you know that fasting is not just a time where you abstain from food and sleep. That is important for your health, but that is not fasting.

When there is no prayer, no word study, and no worship, you did not fast. Let me repeat: when there is no prayer, no word study, and no worship, you did not fast—no matter even if you do 48 hours or 72 hours. That was pain and sleeping. If there is no prayer, no word study, and no worship, you did not fast. So, just because you slept by nine and woke up by four, and then slept back again and woke up quarter to five, and already started arranging your food waiting for six on the dot—of course, God will honor you, He’s merciful. But I am telling you—that’s not fasting.

Luke 4:14— "And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit." In verse 1, He was driven by the Spirit, full of the Spirit, but the Bible does not mention power. Verse 14—having prayed and fasted, even though full of the Spirit, He returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee. And the Bible says, "There went out a fame of Him throughout all the region round about."

I believe in the ministry of fasting and prayer. Please submit yourself—fasting is not just for men of God. Fasting is not just for those in trouble. Fasting is not just for those whom doctors say have diabetes or have something medically wrong with them. Fasting is for all men. I truly believe that. Prayer with fasting. Prayer with fasting. Prayer with fasting. Hallelujah.

If you are pregnant and have children, don’t worry—we’ll fast for you. Our fasting will cover you. And even children can fast. Let me tell you—don’t over-pamper your children until spirits enter them. Children can fast—they can fast and end by 12 noon. It does not kill them. Don't say, "My child is too small. Let him grow." By the time he grows, he already has habits. Do you think it was one legion that entered the madman in Gadara one day? They kept coming and calling themselves, and said, "This man is an available vessel," until they became a legion.
