@BrandonRoc91553 I agree that this is something that needs to have policies put into place. Especially because this is something that can get out of hand with no trace of a specific source.

@andrewgil136107 This is a very interesting topic considering it seems as if these social media platforms are trying to pull us into their traps as much as they can.

A psychology team has conducted important research about endless scrolling which has led them to try and persuade major social media platforms to protect kids mental health and this is something that needs to be talked about more! #SMCBeach #BeachSMC https://t.co/ReCpRNDvr6

@andrewgil136107 I agree this is very interesting! Something that stood out to me was the mention of the Reddit moderators who go without pay thinking it is unfair how much the CEO is taking in compensation.

@ttrancsulb I agree that it would do more harm than good plus I don't think it is just the tik tok Chinese owners who are trying to brainwash our community.

Backlash sparked on social media because of a lawmaker speaking sentences that may have been a bit unnecessary and inappropriate. Other speakers disagreed with her statements and the way they were presented. #SMCBeach #BeachSMC https://t.co/dzBGwIkAmU

@ttrancsulb Hi Taylor, I agree this decision was not the best for everyones benefit. It seems to be a decision based off more of a grudge rather than truly trying to benefit the platform.

@dihassss Hi Adam, I agree. No person nor kid should have feelings of quitting a fun hobby because of their personal comparisons online.

The state of Florida decided to pass a bill that will ban minors from using social media. I think this is a great idea as children's mental health is being affected by its toxicity. #BeachSMC #SMCBeach https://t.co/K0OYXMLqpS

@ttrancsulb I could not agree more. Pinterest can be very creative and interesting to explore, however Ive also noticed way more ads which has made me not use it as much.

Addictive social media platforms that allow kids/young adults to exercise the "worst human Impulses" with no consequence explain why kids brain development is being interrupted in a negative way. #BeachSMC #SMCBeach https://t.co/UyDTg8RMAd

50% of Americans use social media as their source for news information. Which is not good considering their goal is to make money not share the correct information. #BeachSMC #SMCBeach https://t.co/6Y2AX33syX

Colorado intelligently plans on mandating social media, and for people under 18, a pop up warning will occur after "doomscrolling" for an hour or so which I think is a great idea! #BeachSMC #SMCBeach https://t.co/KQojDrNvhy

USA Today discusses Zuckerberg's apology towards the families that have claimed how his social media platforms harmed their children. I personally believe both parties are at fault for incorrectly maintaining/using these platforms. #BeachSMC #SMCBeach https://t.co/F0X4gc0cZJ

@MDillow01 Interesting how threads has "outperformed" many more platforms than just X, like for example snapchat and spotify.
