Just a reminder, “All In” doesn’t mean you have to be at school til 7 every night. Doesn’t meant you need to take school work home every night. Doesn’t mean you need to be swamped every weekend with planning or grading. This isn’t All In, this is Burn Out. Have a Restful weekend!

If #parents focus too much on their child's #reading level, obsessing over what group they're in and how they compare to other students, they risk making reading seem like a chore to their kids. https://t.co/4nUQvmCssI #edchat
#ThoughtForTheDay Both students & staff must know what is expected of them in order to grow & develop in their role as students & educators if we want to maximize their potential. Clarity is critical, support is necessary, trust is primary. #Culturize
As a principal, one of my goals was for our staff to understand that I believed their families were the most important thing in the world to them.
Educators love their job, but most have that job to support their family & they shouldn’t feel guilty when they take care of ‘em.

Leadership in education is NOT about walking in and telling “how things should be done”. That is poor management. Leadership is servanthood. It is rolling up our sleeves and saying “How can I help?” I say this to the extent that I want it to be true of myself, not to where it is.
