Thank you to my mentors who supported me over the last year in presenting my summer (@MBLScience) and honors thesis research (@BowdoinCollege) at the @SACNAS NDiSTEM Conference and @BenthicEcology Meeting, respectively. I enjoyed networking and being inspired by amazing science.
In late May, I graduated from @BowdoinCollege with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Education. I am proud to say that as a first-gen student, I will be entering the next stage of my career as a @FulbrightPrgrm Scholar at the Australian Institute of Marine Science!
It was awesome to see @BowdoinCollege@bowdoinSCSC students present their research at the Benthic Ecology Meeting in Miami! New results on eelgrass community ecology in the GOM, eelgrass-oyster interactions, and northern star coral transcriptomics:

@cflemsscientist Thank you so much for attending my talk! So excited to continue growing as a scientist and science communicator. All of the work presented at #BEM2023 was super impressive and inspiring as a young scientist!
First of all, I don’t seem to have photo evidence but I was so impressed by the level of science coming from undergrads at this conference—from posters to 12-min presentations, they really killed it. Special shoutout to @kellie_nav your presentation was awesome!
This summer, I studied the impacts of climate change on a temperate coral, the Northern Star Coral as a @NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program at the @MBLScience. Thank you @Roberson_Lo and @lluviamagenta for your mentorship! View my poster: https://t.co/eVEgFG1Zvk
Thank you @Roberson_Lo and @lluviamagenta for all of the support and mentorship this summer! It was such an amazing opportunity to work with you both and in such a renowned institution like @MBLScience!
So lucky to have worked with some talented ladies this summer @AleTheScientist@kellie_nav@lluviamagenta@MBLScience Missing you (and Olivia who had to leave early) but can’t wait to see the amazing things you do next.

Dear seaweed friends - we are looking for a Research Assistant I/II to work with tropical seaweeds in my lab @TropicSeaweed@MBLScience. Please share! https://t.co/x0FIpcZzfe
Today, I was honored to attend a talk from Nobel Prize winner Dr. Avram Hershko, as a part of @MBLScience's "Invite a Scientist to Lunch Series." He provided great advice and insight on becoming a better scientist.
#MicroscopyMonday🔬! When Loretta Roberson (@Roberson_Lo) prepared for high school students to arrive for her Coral Reefs in a Changing World course, she discovered all sorts of microplastic contamination on the skeleton of the Northern Star Coral.
A few weeks ago here at the @MBLScience NSF-REU Program, I presented a flash talk on my current research project in the @Roberson_Lo Lab alongside my peers. Look at my attached flash talk slide if you want to learn more!
This year all of Bowdoin's Goldwater finalists received the prestigious scholarship for the first time, at least since the College's Office of Student Fellowships and Research was established in 2007. Read more about it here! https://t.co/1qQRFEOnNM
