It could be a robot with empathy like the Amelia AI combined with other robotic technology. I see there's already a Moxi hospital nurse robot. Definitely a weird concept though.

@NsePeter5 @yabaleftonline I believe it. AI just isn’t 100% reliable atp. It makes mistakes, such as allowing the wrong people to unlock phones with Face ID, playing music when not commanded to (ex: w Amazon Echos), and so on. Hopefully programmers can refine AI technology to prevent these bugs. #bctechf22

@OceanCoalition He figured out how to regrow 100 years worth of coral in under two years with borrowing tissue techniques! I am hoping we can utilize this finding with all of the coral reef restoration projects throughout the world. #bctechf22 (2/2)

@OceanCoalition I completely agree! As the reefs are 25% of the world’s biodiversity which provides 70% of oxygen to the atmosphere, it is crucial that we protect and restore them. If nothing changes, 90% of them will be gone by 2050. Look into Dr. David Vaughn if you haven’t already. (1/2)

@Pontifex It is so sad. Even if all countries abide by their pledges and fulfill their goals to help decline global warming, global warming will still reach ~1.7°C by 2100. To change this & reach the 1.5°C goal, countries must accelerate their transformations significantly ASAP. #bctechf22

@Chris_Skinner I could see that. On top of that, these additional steps (pin and/or signatures) make processing these payments much more slow, inconveniencing both the customers and the company. I love the idea of contactless payments, because of how cleanly it is in wake of the pandemic (1/2)

@apeelsciences Apeels invention is amazing! Not only is it preventing food waste, it’s also preventing all of the trash and traveling the agriculture industry provides. I know this product is used with store avocados already, but what other plant products do you plan to use it on in the future?

@endisch_paul There is none. Although this process is expensive and animal-based (for now), I bet in the future it’ll be cheaper and it will be able to transition to being plant-based. Cultured meat uses 99% less land, 82-96% less water, and produces 78-96% less greenhouse gas. It’s great!
