Getting these 4th graders ready to write an Extended Constructed Response. Let’s first have them identify the characteristics of an ECR and then we’re going to dive into writing an essay. ✍🏼 @GISD4EBs@GISDTLD@GISD4SI
The 2nd grade teachers at Caldwell El did a great job of closing out the Greek Mythology Unit with a live museum! Such a great way to have the students reflect on their learning! @GISDTLD@GISD4SI
Let’s find some text evidence! 🔎🕵🏽♂️. Students at Carver El. used @Seesaw to read the text and respond to questions. Way to get them ready for their SCRs and really enforce the TEK!
Our Science IDF, Jennipher, did an amazing job of leading our area coaches through a WDM simulation. Such great information was given and even better conversations were had! #CoachTheCoaches#AlexanderArea#CoachingResources
So happy for these ladies at Vial Elementary for presenting over TELPAS and introducing the ALL NEW TELPAS stations to their campus. I can’t wait to see all their hard work in action! @GISD4EBs

Co-Teaching with one of my favorite teachers today! She’s stepping outside her box to ensure her students are getting some great English instruction. So proud of you Mrs.Barbera! @GISD4EBs#DualLanguage#ShelteredInstruction
Learning was in the air @ClubHill_Cougar ! Teachers had systems in place for students to be independent while they assessed! Paras were monitoring and fostering meaningful conversations with students! Way to go! #gisdprek @GISDTLD
Nonverbal Mats! Yes please! Such a great way for students to respond to a question during a lesson. It lowers the affective filter for all and is a quick check for the teacher. Choose one of the options, attach a clothespin for student responses and boom! #SIStrategy@GISD4EBs
These 5th grade students at Carver El. were speaking, listening, reading and writing during their station rotation today! Being intentional about implementing the 4 Language Domains will help these students be successful! #EveryLessonEveryDay@GISD4EBs
These little construction workers in Ms.Chairez’s class were busy composing and decomposing numbers today. Loved how she encouraged students to use complete sentences when responding and had students collaborating together. @GISD4EBs#ShelteredInstruction#WilliamsElementary
Huge Shoutout to Mr.Williams at Toler El. for incorporating Collaborative Mats into his science lesson! Such a great way to get your students talking to one another and using academic language! @GISD4EBs#ShelteredInstruction#EveryLessonEveryDay
