@AP_Trevor The WH and euro SAQs are easier. They often ask to identify versus explain which is a skill of lower cognitive complexity. SAQ 1 for WH asks students to identify the perspective of 1 historian, while APUSH asks students to explain the diff between 2. Obvious

Why do we use the term "enslaved people" instead of "slaves"?⁣ Slavery was a legal status, not an identity. Our goal is to use language that respects the dignity of all. The term “enslaved people” emphasizes their humanity rather than a status imposed by others.⁣

@cultofpedagogy Give them readings - primary sources, literature, anything and have them write questions, then have a student centered discussion based off their own questions. It challenges them and makes the learning totally student-owned and centered

@MrNunesteach It’s impossible. No matter how much time I spend on planning, grading and reflecting, there is ALWAYS more that could be done. I could stop working beyond my contract hours but I won’t bc I want the best for students. Not saying there isn’t another way but not sure what that is..
