If you talk to people, everyone hates the Irish government. But in reality, one in two of them will vote Fine Gael and Fianna Fail every single time.
It's amazing.
Simon Harris claiming to worry about people missing hospital appointments, the same spineless liar didn't care about all the children suffering and dying in agony waiting for life saving scoliosis surgery. #fuelcrisis
Suddenly the Gov are concerned about people missing hospital appointments.
These are the same people who allowed children to die because their names were covertly taken off waiting lists.
The same Government that let #scoliosis curvatures become inoperable.
Now they care!
Dail resumes next Tuesday.
Block it with trucks and tractors from Monday night onwards and you'll get your meeting in minutes.
What's happening now doesn't directly bother government politicians. Intrude on their day to day life and then they act. Simple.
Getting a small raise? That's gone.
Thought you'd start saving a few quid. Nah, that's gone too.
Insurance due? Dig deeper.
Electricity bill gone up? Tough.
Can't afford health insurance anymore? We don't care.
This message was brought to you by the Government of Ireland.
Micheal says he’s been focusing on issues like disability, I wonder how much thought was given to people with disabilities when the govt decided to try do away with blister packs for meds, or maybe he has been planning to announce a cost of living package for people living with disabilities.
Maybe he was working on how to do away with the means test for disability support payments? Or filling all those vacant therapist posts? I’d love him to explain what exactly he has been ‘focused on’ and what tangible progress was made from him focusing on it.
Honestly, I’d love to see #GE2026
I hope the government are so willing to stand over this decision that they will take responsibility for any and all accidental overdoses that occur from this ridiculous and dangerous decision.
As well as any effects caused by accidental under dosage.
They tell us they care. They show us they don’t.
Just days before Christmas, FFFG and Inds are taking away a lifeline that so many people rely on, and now some will have to pay up to €50 a month to get their meds in blister packs.
This hits older people, people in early stage dementia or Alzheimer’s, and people with disabilities the hardest. It’s money they simply don’t have.
Blister packs aren’t some kind of luxury. They’re essential for managing medication safely. This Scrooge-style cost-cutting is a health and safety risk. It’s downright cruel, it needs to be reversed.
I’m already hearing from families who are shocked and worried about what this will mean for them.

This has got to be a very bad joke!🤬
Does the Minister really believe that his Dept should be 'advising' adults about how to cope with moving back in with their parents?🙄
Maybe if Govt policy didnt push up house prices & rents less young people would be forced to do this!🤦♀️
How on Earth can the Taoiseach defend the tone deaf decision of his government to share the box room video which has caused such hurt and anger. Tens of thousands of people in their 20s, 30s and 40s back living at home. Why? Because home ownership has collapsed for an entire generation. Rents are out of control. Young people despair of having a future in Ireland. The last thing they need is to be patronised by this government.
We need to make life affordable. We need to give our young people a chance. We need them to know that we want them here in Ireland and we won't stop until we make that happen.
The man who signed off on the most expensive hospital in human history, which is still incomplete and running at twice the cost of the world's tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, is Ireland's new finance minister
