Confession is the Sacrament that lifts us up again. We are not left on the ground, weeping on the hard floor of our falls. It is the Sacrament of resurrection; it is pure mercy. Priests who hear confessions must convey the sweetness of mercy. #Lent
The possession of atomic weapons is immoral, because, as John XXIII observed in Pacem in terris, “there is no denying that the conflagration could be started by some chance and unforeseen circumstance”. We are always losers before the threat of nuclear weapons!
