PRIMETIME discourse is so interesting because so many people seem to feel like the film is muddled or confusing and I felt it was clearly telling us the post 9/11 world made Americans feel out of control so we clung to ways to feel safe in a world that felt more dangerous by manipulating our every fear (valid or not) and giving ourselves permission to exploit and be exploited
