@EOLessentials Further, "ensuring shared decision-making is described in conjunction with person-centredness means it is described in the context of a holistic care model, rather than a medicalised one."
@EOLessentials Very interesting this module is underpinned by 'patient-centred' communication. My article states "viewing a person as a ‘patient’ tends to lead to unequal relationships (power), a perspective the person in care is not an expert and making it less conducive to reciprocity"
Thanks @EOLessentials for sharing our work! There’s lots out there on shared decision making - over 40 models and nearly 170 definitions. So, how is it that you understand and practice shared decision making?
Sharing decision-making is globally recognised as an important concept in #healthcare education & practice, enhancing #PersonCentred care. It is more important than ever to understand how shared decision-making occurs @Kelstath24@cawdickson@mhtiaquin https://t.co/77oAeavn88

I've been away from this platform for a while, but I'm back! I wasn't sure about the whole X thing, but I've decided to give it another shot and see how things have changed. Excited to reconnect with all of you! #backinaction#Xperimenting
Saying to a new #PhD student find the gap in the literature is a big ask.
It's like saying look for something that isn't there. How can you ever be sure you've found a gap? Maybe you just haven't looked long enough.
Some guidance from the supervisor could help a lot.
