i’m sorry, i know as much as possible i try to stay away from engaging with negativity, but this has gone too far. i understand that not everyone will like certain personalities or behaviors, but bringing family members, especially those who aren’t public figures, into conversations about someone is disrespectful, invasive, and just not okay.

i’m also tired of people getting away with mischaracterizing bg and reducing him to just this loud and “insufferable” individual, when he’s a normal person with so many different sides to him. outside of his entertaining variety show moodmaker persona, he’s deeply introspective, sensitive, attentive and emotionally mature. (and this isn’t me being parasocial, i’m talking about the sides he’s shown us through his content, the things he chooses to share with us, and what people who have actually encountered him have said about him)

you don’t have to deep dive into him especially if you aren’t a fan, but please at least have some respect and think twice before posting. freedom of speech isn’t an excuse to make inappropriate assumptions or remarks about someone’s character or family. if his content is still unbearable to you, the uninterested and block buttons are free. you don’t have to spend your time adding hate. have some human decency. being kind is free.
