When men say ‘it’s just a preference’, remember this.
They didn’t quietly scroll past her. They grouped up, edited her photo and tried to humiliate her. Not because she was unattractive, but because mocking her gave them a sense of control.
That’s not ‘preference’. It’s cruelty disguised as critique.
This is the male ego in crisis. She didn’t reject them. She didn’t provoke them. She just existed and they felt so powerless about it they had to dehumanize her.
Their masculinity is so hollow even the illusion of humiliating a stranger makes them feel whole.
