Fun interview with Alexander Lee from @GamesBeat ! Talking about our gaming roots and how Medal is going to get the whole world sharing their game clips with eachother. [As well as the health and life benefits of waking up at 6AM to play games] https://t.co/rNfHHw0pRc
Our co-founders share more about building foundation models for spatial intelligence. When you already have billions of action labeled videos, you can skip the world models and go straight into spatiotemporal agents, leaping every company working on world models by years.
"Gen Z wants to create"? Who do you think built the Thomas the Tank engine mod in Skyrim 18 different times from mom’s basement though?
Gamers of every age have never just "consumed" media. They taught themselves computer science so they could mod their favorite games. They built sites dedicated to walkthroughs and fan art. Machinima, montages, roleplay servers, custom maps...gamers built the "creator" economy long before anyone called it that.
User-generated content platforms like @Roblox , UEFN, and @Medal_TV aren’t exploding by being beneficiaries of a passive demographic shift. They created the change by making it easy enough that everyone can participate now.
On Medal, unlike every other social network, 100% of users who consume content also post it. They’re usually just clipping something funny to send to a small group of friends. It's smaller scale, but equally (if not more) real. If you can get to “omg lol” faster, you’ll do it again tomorrow. That’s our loop, and it’s why you now see inside jokes spread faster than any viral video from the Vine days.
So yes, Gen Z are creators. But gamers always have been. This generation just gets to ride a giant, smiling tank engine of platforms that have lowered the barrier to entry enough to make creation mainstream.
Thrilled to back @gen_intuition, a frontier research lab using game data to teach agents spatial and temporal reasoning — from virtual worlds to the real one.
Bold. Early. Impactful.

Excited to share that @gen_intuition, with @PimDeWitte
at the helm, has raised a 133.7M seed round led by Khosla Ventures and General Catalyst to build a frontier AI research lab for the gaming industry. I’ll be stepping into role of CEO at @Medal_TV as part of this next chapter.
It’s a full-circle moment. I started as a Medal user, clipping Rocket League and Genshin Impact, and now get to lead the team building the platform for millions of gamers who do the same.
Medal is still doing what we've always done best: helping players capture the moments that make gaming with friends special. The company is growing (and actively hiring), profitable, and staying true to our gamer-first philosophy.
It's a dream to lead such a talented team working on a product that I love and use every day. Can't wait for everything to come!
@PimDeWitte Full-circle moment for me! I started as a Medal user, clipping Rocket League and Genshin Impact, and now get to lead the team building the platform for millions of gamers who do the same. It's a dream to lead such a talented team and cool product.
@PimDeWitte THIS is the proper way to scale hands off LLM coding. Something I’ve been thinking about too. Its ability to detect and fix mistakes depends on good tests. Next gen tools should have dedicated handling for testing, architecture review and penn tests
