@Dev_Manuell You should know how to roll it, but should you though? So many robust solutions cover everything including edge cases you will never think of. Reinventing the wheel for something as important as auth is not worth it imo.

Of course this does not apply to every function, but the main ones must have comments.

Also, there are insurance shenanigans to deal with if you do this.

Microsoft primarily went for people and businesses; Linux's emergent use cases were for servers and related infra (I know about macOS and BSD as well as Android, but those are not the arguments here).

Very different targets with different needs.
