@waterwaysirelan Tourism ends here! Cycling along our canal is great in so many ways, unfortunately Waterways Ireland has made it so difficult that most cyclists are dissuaded from doing so. While Greenways have brought a boom to tourism, why can’t the same be done for our canals tow paths?
@robertburns73 Green looks best. It’s our national colour, stands out from both black asphalt & grey concrete and it strongly signifies its green credentials. With the right tone of green, it would blend it well with our historical buildings & street furnisher.
Anyone see the shooting star over north Dublin tonight- spectacular?
Very bright & long lived, with a long trail:-)
Moved east to west, just before 23:00.
@UrbnWarfareDuck @APlayfulCity No it’s a fine for people who break the law & block footpaths, placing pedestrians at an unacceptable risk by forcing them to walk on to busy roads. How do feel about wheelchair users are being completely blocked by selfish motorists? Do you not think a token fine is acceptable
@sdublincoco@dublincycling Whitehall road needs segregated cycles too. Please add poles to the Templeville Road cycle lanes too, as it’s often heavily blocked by cars at Templeouge College, making it particularly dangerous during the school run hours.
@sdublincoco@dublincycling The Wellington rd cycle lane is most welcome. Not only does it slow cars down to a safer speed, it also goes a long way to protect cyclists:-) Unfortunately the larger roundabout diverts cyclists onto the zebra crossings with a dangerous right hand turn. Dutch roundabout please.
@OConnorOisin@dublincycling Marley park recently painted “no cycling” signs at the park’s entrances, while simultaneously they’re developing the slang river greenway through the very same park...!
@GerHerbert1 Our country needn’t be at level 5. Other nations have beat this bug successfully. We have no medium to longterm strategy! There are alternatives- Iceland, Finland, Norway, New Zealand & Taiwan all have two things in common ♀️ . Maybe its time for a new type of leadership:-)
@GerHerbert1 Our porous borders with the north & hopelessly inadequate C-19 checks at our ports has put our country in the current state its finds itself. This virus didn’t walk on to this island, it flew & sailed here.Our government knelt to the airline & meat & alcohol industry- we suffer!
@GerHerbert1@DublinCommuters Something to please motorist in tomorrow’s rush hour traffic jam..! Careful who you vote for- Trump & Borris aren’t unique.
Every village has its idiot!
Why not give the 30km limits a trial. After all bylaws can be changed & motoring deaths are sadly on the rise!
@GeogheganCllr @RanelaghLife@dublincycling@IBIKEDublin@DublinCommuters@DubCityCouncil@DubCham Surly the people of Ranelagh and it’s surrounds deserve better than this. Looks like a very shoddy and unsafe design to appease the pro motoring lobby groups. Please ask the engineers if they’d allow their children to cycle on this route?
@OSVentilator Great work guys- thanks.
