Saving Time - everyone, or almost everybody, agrees that switching the clocks twice a year is a bad idea. It causes heart attacks, strokes and fatal auto accidents. But why are we so in love with Permanent Daylight Savings Time? That's what Congress just passed on to the Senate.
Permanent Standard Time is considered by health experts much better for us. We get better sleep, improving our circadian rhythm. We rise in the sunshine and go to bed in the dark. It's much safer for children going to school. We tried Permanent Daylight Savings Time in the 70s and it failed miserably as children were involved in accidents on their way to school.
I'm all for whichever we change to, as long as we change. But if I had a say, I'd vote for Standard Time. Check this, Stanford Medicine in 2025 did a study saying we'd have 2.6 million fewer cases of obesity and 300,000 less strokes in the US on Standard Time.
@ZurichSee1988@xxyllinn Smartphones are unnecessary, cell phones are a requirement nowadays. Pay phones used to be on every corner, now they're non-existent. You can't even ask to use a landline anymore.
@GuntherEagleman Count them, just don't appropriate Congressional seats or Electoral College allocation based upon their numbers.
We still need to know where they are.
@GavinNewsom Interesting; ramblings of a madman AND devious attempt to rig the election. 😂
Well, which is it, oh wise one? Is he mad or conniving? Looks like it's YOU that is a mad rambler.
Sit down and take the loss.
@RealHickory Serious question, does anyone know if there's more than that one message from Floris to build a case around? Any other evidence at all regarding her specifically?
She should be brought in for questioning, for sure. Hammer dropped if they can.
@BorterPawtrol@SarahisCensored That's true too. But, in that case, maybe the whole jury should have been DQed before the case even started. Certainly not an easy answer.
@steve__case@SarahisCensored I totally agree with that, but the attorneys only get so many exemptions. The court needs to do some exemptions of their own.
