Watching TV last night I was reminded that you can have bike racks on buses. They have them in Canberra. I’ve never understood why the PTA/Transperth are so opposed. If we are serious about getting people out of cars and on buses it should happen.
I’ve never seen an Opposition successfully win Government by conducting their Shadow Cabinet meetings through the media. This is appallingly disloyal behaviour by Hastie. https://t.co/IHcludp1Gc
What does it say about the lack of talent in the Federal Liberal Party that they have to poach a National’s Senator to be their Deputy Leader. Is there no Liberal in the House of Reps capable of this job?
@hasselljpb Once again, the farm lobby fails Public Relations 101 and plays into the hands of animal activists. Play the person not the issue. Reinforce in the minds of the undecided that they are hiding something.
Hi @Bankwest
Are you still required to comply with the Bank of Western Australia Act 1995? How are you meeting the obligations under clause 23(b)?
Because I don’t think you even come close.
Donald Trump keeps talking about Canada becoming the 51st USA State but I think @MarkJCarney should invite the western and NE US states to become Canadian Provinces. Im sure many of them would jump at it.
Hey @Bankwest I thought you said when you closed our branches we didn’t need to worry we would still be able to do our banking at Commonwealth Bank branches. This is not true!
So it’s now 6 seats each for Libs and Nats. It all comes down to Kalamunda for the Libs to become the official Opposition. By convention the Speaker, if no clear result, will maintain the status quo. That means Nats remain the Opposition. #WAvotes
Not often do I agree with Mike Nahan but his comments are spot on. The upper house liberals were a waste of space. The most effective was the retiring Peter Collier (pun intended) and he worked at half pace compared to his first term. The rest invisible

@MSchoderboeck I think they’ve driven quality candidates away because they don’t trust their processes and see the party being run by people who would be better suited to Fringe parties.
The WAEC performance today has been appalling. The buck stops with the Electoral Commissioner, they should fall on their sword once the election is concluded. #WAVotes
@hasselljpb They were also the ones that closed Toer 3 lines. Don’t know how you can claim otherwise. Contract is a disaster. Only downsides for State.
@oliverpeterson@6PR@9NewsPerth@WAtoday@FinancialReview Based on today’s polls the only thing we can safely predict- Men will dominate the Liberal party room.
Churchland, Nedlands, Carine, Warren-Blackwood, Bateman, Geraldton, Scarborough, Albany, Dawesville, Darling Range, Kalamunda, Bicton, Kingsley - all blokes. MLC’s no better.
@G_Parker@JessicaPage7@westaustralian I hope it will be a constructive Leg Council that acknowledges the Govts right to Government but also holds them to account. If they are just antagonistic to everything the Govt does, they won’t get a PBO but a constructive approach could quickly see a PBO established.
@G_Parker@JessicaPage7@westaustralian Yeah, I remember that. Since I posted I’ve been racking my brain. I don’t think it was called a PBO but pretty sure Tim Marney (with the clear permission of Treasurer Buswell) committed to an independent arms length costing process but Barnett stepped in and stopped it.
