@cmjohnson_OU What a cool video taking a look at the adaptive equipment Nadine uses to live independently! Her creativity using the adaptive equipment is inspiring to see, and it was amazing to see her use them all in practical ways to perform ADLs!
@cmjohnson_OU Hi Christina! It was very interesting to learn how Parkinson's Disease can affect a female patient in your video, especially examining the patient's gait patterns and discussing her non-motor symptoms.
@docgoble The frontal cortex is contributing to this movement by assisting in the decision-making behind it. At 30 seconds when she is running up to the wall, the frontal cortex is receiving and processing information, then planning the movement so she can complete it and catch the ball.
@docgoble The vestibular system is supporting Yuji's movement by helping him keep his balance at the landing. Because he is focusing on completing the movement rather than the landing itself, the vestibular system is assisting in his balance and orientation to help him land safely.
@abbyy_jacksonn Your example of a practical use of an EMG is so interesting! I would have never thought of using EMG as a tool to help turtles, let alone animals! It's amazing to see how versatile an EMG can be to help not just humans, but animals as well.
@abbyy_jacksonn I loved your example of an impressive human movement because Jasmine Moore is an insane athlete! The triple jump in itself takes incredible control and power, and for Jasmine Moore to compete at such a high level and dominate is so impressive and fun to watch.

I’m taking #EXS3030@OaklanduSHS with @docgoble because I am passionate about my future career in Occupational Therapy. I am fascinated by the neuro and motor control aspect of rehabilitation, so this course will provide crucial information that I’ll carry with me as I pursue OT!
