@jenniferm_q I’d rather have the promise of a job to return to and support my new family with rather than temporary unemployment $$, but now I have to wait till after the baby. I’ll just try to find a job working for someone with a little more integrity this time.
@jenniferm_q Two or three weeks later he heard about the loan and thought it meant he could still get him and me money but not have me return to employment with him... I was also 8 months pregnant. He wanted to avoid my maternity leave and used the forecasted financial troubles as an excuse
@jenniferm_q My boss laid me off the very first chance he got with zero warning. The first week that our governor mildly encouraged social distancing, he fired me effective immediately while continuing to operate the business. A lot of company owners never tried to take care of their teams.
@JackieHillPerry Amen! I worked there for a few years and the only way I could get it down was to pour it cold into some ice cream and make a secret menu milkshake
Life shouldn’t be wasted in dissatisfaction with current circumstances or bitterness with the past. Enjoy where you are now and release yourself from the struggle of trying to control something that isn’t yours to handle... otherwise you’ll look back in regret-I promise.
Life just seems extra fragile lately.... or more like I have had a more acute awareness of it in the last month or so. Every moment is precious- even if you’re not where you think you want to be.
I think we get tunnel vision and think life has to look exactly like what our ideal goals and desires are in order to enjoy it and value our time here. Reality is, we can’t control much in the moment other than our level of contentment and joy.
Just sitting here in my nursing rocker eating salt and vinegar kettle chips in between Braxton Hicks contractions and I can’t wiggle my toes my feet are so swollen. Am I pregart?
