Feeling sad at #LSA2022 - I was asked to prerecord my presentation case of technical issues. In my session, I wasn't given the chance to present, the recording was just played. Then the feed cut off, and I I couldn't even take questions.....why did I come to my own presentation?

When my presentation ended, the stream was still going with the interpreter standing there, but then whoever was behind the scenes at slidespiel just removed my slides and cut the feed.

Thank you everyone so much for your support. Truthfully, I don’t think this was a technical glitch, I think it was poor communication, because they gave virtual presenters no details how how it work day of.

@sarahrbpayne I completely agree! I was able to switch to virtual because my session was already hybrid, but the lack of communication about how to prepare virtual presentations, and the technical difficulties with slidespiel make me wonder who will even see my presentation.
