This weekend a team of off duty police staff from Northern Devon took part in one of the most notorious mountain challenges in the UK- a 33 mile hike across the 15 highest peaks of North Wales- all within 24 hours!

The challenge involves personally navigating their way across some of the highest and most exposed peaks in the UK...and involved lots of training to complete. This was not an organised event but a solely personal team challenge making it all the more daunting 🥾

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the North Devon Hospice amazing local charity. As well as the wonderful Nation Foundation of Retired Service Animals who work closely with our retired police dogs. The team have so far raised an incredible £4,500 🎉

Superintendent Toby Davies who helped organise the challenge said ‘This was such a hard challenge, physically draining and not helped by the atrocious weather conditions. The team showed amazing resilience and we were grateful for our wonderful support team, who made it possible. We can barely stand today but we’re so chuffed that we have been able to raise so much money for the good causes. Our thanks go to everyone who has donated so far’.
