@repeeatuu What if USA isn’t the centre of the world and isn’t that big of a part of this crisis… oh wait… they isn’t!
Don’t get me wrong. USA is a great military allied and Biden’s sanctions are helpful, but Putin loss of the pro-Russia president in 2014 is hindering a new “Soviet era”
@theyyeo@kiranjoshi235 You can’t just decide to join. If even USA hadn’t been one of the founders and had tried to apply today, it wouldn’t met the requirements. Ukraine have only a partnership with NATO with future ambitions to join.
@OurRightsCount@LolliMothra@KyivIndependent What has Obama anything to do with that? Countries have to apply themselves to be a member. The riots and annexation of Crimea started because Ukraine looked towards EU and NATO but the pro Russia president stopped it. The president got trown out, Putin got mad and annexed Crimea
@Auirex_ @Annemie12296370@KevinDurantBu10@KyivIndependent NATO is a treaty and not other countries armies. What other countries do with their military and supplies is their own business as long it’s in compliance with the treaty. NATO is at this moment not involved in wars
@KevinDurantBu10@KyivIndependent No they’re not. Individual countries are. You must be American. NATO is a treaty and not other countries armies. What other countries do with their military and supplies is their own business as long it’s in compliance with the treaty. NATO is at this moment not involved in wars
@TaslimREZA6 Ukraine have been a peaceful country right in the middle of eastern and western world preoccupied with just their own affairs until Putin’s annexation of Crimea in 2014 and now full blown war, only because Putin’s disillusioned idea of a new Soviet era.
@TaslimREZA6 You are absolutely right. But there’s differences you fail to recognise. Half of the listed wars are internal conflicts/civil wars. Other half are attempts to remove violent and suppressing regimes. All those countries have been/are still given humaterian aid and support from EU
@LolliMothra@KyivIndependent A country can’t get admitted to NATO if they are involved in a war, conflict and/or border disputes. Since Russia annexed Crimea in 2014 they couldn’t be admitted.
@Morpheous416@EuromaidanPress I think all the European countries which are members of NATO, have people with that same thought. Shaking with anger and screaming for actions, but at the same time knowing that if NATO gets involved in the conflict may cause a world war with nuclear arsenals on both sides.
@qaz1f @schaheid Ukraine is not a member of NATO and therefore NATO can’t get involved. After the riots 2013 and removal of the Russian friendly president Russia annexed parts of Ukraine. If a country have any kind border disputes and conflict with another country, it can’t get membership in NATO
