It’s funny to see hitting coaches that idolize the 80s-90s and say those hitters are better compared to today’s hitters
If that was the case then why are your training methods that probably mimic the hitters of the 80s-90s not producing a superior hitter at all levels of the game
@reviveperform Absolutely these are great hitters but there is no shot these guys would hit better. You think Ivan Rodriguez would be hitting .390 with 40 pumps against some of the stuff in today’s game? Imagine a 3 game series against Sanchez, Wheeler, and Luzardo with Duran closing it.
College’s like multi-sport athletes IF the athlete they are recruiting can help their program wi. If the athlete is mediocre at the sport they recruit they don’t care if he plays 15 sports
Play whatever you want but you better be really good at the one you want to play in college
@CoachHove@Toohey_sp This is a bad take. Neither my parents played sports and produced a big leaguer and a AAA player and many are like this.
The bigger factor is the parent’s ability to surround their child with the proper supporting staff to help nurture their talents and develop them.
I don’t get how @Whatnot is not taking action against the streamer selling the 30th anniversary Pokemon packs this early. I get if it was a week or so but this is a disgrace. This type of behavior cannot be acceptable.
@coachmarker Genuine question, where are you from that playing local is getting your kids adequate exposure. I agree, no need to travel the country but some travel seems necessary to a certain extent.
Local in Philly only reaches so far.
@jlpedigo17@CoachSwit That’s completely fine to cater to Freshman and JV but the standard should remain the same for Varsity Baseball. You want to develop by using a lighter bat on Freshman and JV, your choice but Varsity should remain -3
@JMikeMLB@Matt_Blunk10@VABC1960 I only got a cup of coffee in AAA and numbers were bad in MiLB, BUT I’d argue the GOATs of any era would still be great but the average MLB pitcher in today’s era has better stuff than the pitchers of the past. Walks are down. Highest walk rate in last 40 years was in steroid era
@AdamKir38876237@USABaseball@NFHS_Org@USABasePipeline Perfect game at 13U allows for -5 USSSA and BBCOR. Everyone just swings the -5 USSSA. I’m hoping USA Baseball can leak into the youth side of higher end travel ball
