Prayer was never meant to be confined to church or emergencies
Walking With God Through Prayer is a practical guide to talking with God in the ordinary moments of everyday life.
If you want prayer to become a way of life, start here:

God may give us meaningful emotional moments in prayer, but Scripture does not make those feelings the proof of His presence.
Our emotions change. God’s character and promises remain dependable.
Hebrews 13:5

You do not need to manufacture an emotional experience when prayer feels empty.
Begin by telling God what is true. Then ask Him to show you what is true and what your next faithful step should be.
Psalm 13:1

Struggling to feel what you are praying is not the same as deliberately pretending. The father in Mark 9 brought Jesus both his faith and his struggle: “I do believe; help my unbelief!”
God already knows what is happening inside you. Bring Him the truth.

Spiritual numbness does not always mean you have sinned—but it should leave room for honest examination.
Ask God to reveal something specific. Do not manufacture guilt when He does not.
Psalm 139:23–24

I cannot promise that every honest prayer will immediately produce a feeling of closeness to God.
But Scripture grounds our assurance in God’s love—not in the strength of our emotions on a particular day.
Romans 8:38–39

Not every emotionally numb prayer is evidence that your faith is failing.
Sometimes we need rest, support, or appropriate care.
First Kings 19 reminds us not to treat human exhaustion as something God cannot understand.

Feelings can be meaningful, but they are not an infallible measure of whether God heard you.
Prayer is not successful only when it produces an immediate emotional response.
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Missing one day does not mean you have failed at prayer. The danger begins when disappointment keeps you from returning to God.
Don’t wait for Monday, a new month or a better routine. Take five honest minutes with Him today.

What does it mean when God’s promise says He is near, but your emotions tell you otherwise? I address that tension in the full video: https://t.co/yJUKSokVaM
David did not wait until God felt close before speaking to Him. He brought his confusion, disappointment, and sense of distance directly into prayer.
Faith is not pretending God feels near. Sometimes faith is continuing to speak to Him when He doesn’t.

Have you prayed and wondered why you felt absolutely nothing afterward? I went deeper into what spiritual numbness may—and may not—mean, and how to keep praying without manufacturing an emotional experience. Watch the full video here: https://t.co/yJUKSokVaM
Not every prayer produces an immediate feeling of peace or closeness to God.
That does not automatically mean you prayed incorrectly—or that God was absent.
Have you ever finished praying and wondered why you felt nothing?
