I am not worried about Kenya in 2022. I am extremely worried for Kenya Post 2022 because a Ruto presidency post 2022 looks like it's inevitable and Ruto isn't someone you'd want to give a country to lead.
KIHARU MASOMO BORA: It was a great day today launching Kiharu Masomo Bora Program - 2026 Edition at Maragi Primary School Grounds. It was exciting yesterday as we launched the program at Gaturi Grounds, Kahuhia Secondary Grounds and Kahuro Secondary Grounds.

7.All students joining grade 10 in the 20 identified schools with low enrolment and the new schools (those starting this year) to be provided with uniforms for free.
8.All the 65 Day Schools will be provided with an extra Ksh 50,000 to supplement the activity kitty since capitation is not enough. For music festivals, games, and co-curricular activities.
9.Ksh 900,000 is provided for prize-giving celebrations. Ksh 450,000 for each of the two Sub Counties (Murang’a East and Kahuro). This is to reward the best performers without having parents pay for it.
10.The best improved teacher per subject in each of the sub-counties to get a paid-up trip to Mombasa. This will include the previous year, since some were participating in the marking of KCSE when they could have travelled. (From the MP – since public resources don’t have this provision).
11.Principals from the best and best-improved schools per ward to have a fully paid-up trip to Dubai. Of the 6 wards, twelve Principals will travel. Those who have travelled to Dubai before may choose to travel to Malaysia.

We are African and Africa is our Business..
H.E Rigathi Gachagua is unapologetically a Kikuyu supremist and a tribalist class A. But he makes a valid point when he calls out leaders from Northern Kenya and tells the truth about them. Hon Rigathi Gachagua is 💯 right when he says (a) Northern Kenya leaders are thieves who steal from their people and invest public funds in Nairobi, (b) Northern Kenyan leaders can't account for about Kshs 1 trillion given to the region since devolution started in 2013. (c) Northern Kenya leaders have not built world class institutions ie schools, hospitals etc and have EATEN CDF money. (d) Northern Kenyans leaders including MCAs are all domiciled in Nairobi and have homes, wives and children only in Nairobi and none in Northern Kenya. Look at Garissa and Marsabit. Where did Kshs 300 billion in devolution money go to? Leaders steal money left, right and centre and nothing happens. Gachagua is playing politics, but when he talks about Northern Kenyan leaders and how they have let down their people he is being truthful and i'm with him 💯.
I'm obsessed with cognitive biases.
A "cognitive bias" is a systematic error in thinking that destroys decision-making.
11 most powerful (and dangerous) cognitive biases I've found: 🧵
1. Survivorship Bias:
REALITY CHECK
It is time to STOP the Wantam hubris and bravado. STOP giving people false hope when you cannot guarantee the security of their vote. Tell the people THE TRUTH. Tell them that William Ruto will steal their votes because he controls IEBC. Tell them that the change they desire and deserve is nowhere in sight because William Ruto will do everything to be re-elected in 2027 and thereafter possibly remove presidential term limits. Let the people decide what to do. THE PEOPLE SHALL
Since I was first elected for public office, as Chairman of SONU'92, I've been on the ballot in every general election, that is 6 times. I've lost 4 of those, but always been the first, nationally, to concede defeat even in controversial results. It's a matter of public knowledge because national media broadcast my concessions, often before conclusion of tallying. Sometimes a win is denied the trophy. I was the first also in Azimio Mlimani, friday 10th December 2022, to circulate campaign poster with Raila inscribed, yet I was also the first to congratulate Ruto when our presidential petition flopped at Supreme Court. I disagreed with Azimio deceptive politics of "open servers", amidst Nadco chicanery. Now, in #ByElections2025, our United Opposition has won the War. We only lost small battles by losing MPs seats. We've won critical prime MCA seats. I am happy, and proud, of #UnitedOpposition, especially our nascent Party, DCP! Well, we know of the evil schemes and transgressions by Ruto regime, particularly in Mbeere North, Malava & Magarini. The jury is loud out here.
The story of Mbeere North is abit complex, even disappointing. The result was not entirely unexpected. Formerly known as Siakago, it's the only constituency to have had 3 by-elections in this multiparty era - 1995, 1999, 2025, all won by ruling party. Though Embu was firmly in Kibaki's corner, his party DP lost to Moi's KANU 1995 & 1999 by elections, and also in 2002 elections, and in 2007 to Safina Party. 2013, even Uhuru's TNA lost Siakago to a fridge party. 1997 & 2002, Kibaki lost Gachoka constituency MPs, also in Mbeere to Moi's Kanu. But he still won Embu County Presidential votes, and majority MPs. In 2022, Ruto's mlima juggernaut UDA lost to DP's only MP, who betrayed constituents to be Ruto's errand CS; now DP has nil MP. That some voters fall for guys with mega corruption cases to be their custodians and representatives is the elephant in the room. In the end, people get the leaders they truly deserve. Even Ruto they voted for, as if he was a deputy to Jesus!
WE need a paradigm shift in our electoral campaigns. It is possible to rally voters without bribery, liwe chaguo ni lao! Yes, we can!
1. Congratulations, albeit with reservations, all those a neutered iebc has pronounced as winners. It's still a baby step towards electoral democracy.
2. Thanks, our Opposition chiefs, led by DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua, Natembeya, Kalonzo et al, for a marvelous showing against a violent rotten regime.
3. To you the voter, the decision is all yours. If Mau Mau, if Kenya's nationalists, if Nelson Mandela, justified bribery by tormentors as "our right to eat", and if Prof Wangari Maathai accepted to be bought by Moi, not independence, freedoms, nor Karura Forest/UhuruPark would be. The choices are ours. Oftentimes, crooks win elections because of voter gullibility, tribalism, clannism, bribery, rigging. Good leaders often lose to criminals and incompetents.
4. Congratulations #UnitedOpposition candidates #ByElection2025 who missed the trophy. Mark this tweet; in 20 months you'll triumph happiest as our victory will be larger - we'll usher in the 6th as Ruto loses. This, we must do. Unity is all we need. Ruto cannot win. Not again.
5. If Kenya #ByElection2025 have shown anything, it is the naked fact that Ruto is not ready for any clean elections. Not now. Not 2027. We the #UnitedOpposition must realise and organise on & around this fact. This way, our success guaranteed.
6. Dear Ruto, you will not rule Kenya by evil for evil in evil. We will soon defeat you. We won't accept any of your shenanigans. Your date with destiny on Tuesday 10th August 2027 inevitable. It could come earlier.
Sovereign Will Of The People is Divinely Enshrined in The Constitution Of The Republic Of Kenya.
7. He's thief #RutoMustGo
8. He kills #RutoMustGo
9. He abducts #RutoMustGo
10. He's Kenya's existential threat #RutoMustGo
11. For Kenya to prosper #Rutomustgo
@reubenmuhindi it's in the new manifesto, it is a sound we should now get used to hearing.
it's the new slogan to more power .
like he used Hustler Vs Dynasty
For the first time, someone has shaken my faith towards Ruto.
I mean, what are we actually gaining in this Gov't.
Luos have only 2 CSs against 6 from Kikuyus.
Why is it that we say luos are in Gov't while kikuyus are not.
I agree,we are stupid and my faith has been shaken.
I completely agree. I wanted to write a similar concern but this post is so much better. We don't need the dancing videos. We don't need ticking the PR/media boxes of catchy tag lines and slogans, and sleek posters. I mean, what are we saying about the youth if the only way elders talk with them is through dance? The youth also have minds and ideas. Engage them on that level. @dkmaraga get a new team that won't turn you into something you're not. Be you.
Cabinet communication about the 23.5 km Kiambu road dualling approval is a good gesture .Will only believe it when it’s completed.
Same cabinet approved Cherry advance funds for coffee farmers and was never sent in Full to-date .
Tumezoea promises , tutaamini ikimalizwa .
In the meantime, Singapore dream is still valid .
