@NickPoole1 During my college years, one would come across such definitions depicting the institutions as "warehouses" which was very restrictive as opposed to Ranganathan's view of a "living organism".
A #museum or a #library is an ongoing process of selection, filtering, interpretation and re-interpretation. It is not a warehouse. Our function is not to accumulate cultural detritus, but to tell the story of how society changes over time. Repeat ad nauseam
