The new CCM has arrived in Wellington NZ. Delighted to find the Underwood-Knott Stand, in which I grew up watching Kent, feature on the cover. Here alongside a print of St L as it was, which hangs on our wall here. @AnnieChave@MattersCounty
@tintin1107@ovshake42 Here are the playing conditions for the tournament as printed on the back of the scorecard for the final. Lunch was at 1pm apparently, which confirms two hours for the first session
@EdBevanCricket@JamieMagill5 You and Don were outstanding. I lived in Bristol and would tune in (that ages me) to BBC Wales rather than the local coverage because you were so good to listen to.
@tjm_1966 Most of my books are boxes in prep for a house move but I’ve dug out one of the first cricket books I ever owned. Arlott on Bartlett: the war “disturbed the delicate balance of his play” intrigues.
@voigthill At Sydney in 2020 Australia were penalised five runs for batsmen running on the pitch, which were added to the NZ first innings score. This meant that we retrospectively avoided the follow on (which had not been enforced). This one does need tidying up.
@YahoooverCC@SomersetCCC Lovely piece Hector and very nostalgic for me. The Bath Festival was always a highlight. I revisited in 2011, during the off season like you https://t.co/uxS5TAXyy4
