Check it out - I wrote an opinion piece for @GothamGazette about a recent report out of @NYCBarAssn on what city and state leaders should do that would make a huge difference for low-income disabled #veterans in our community. https://t.co/Gm2V6rk89h
They resented him because he, a mere company grade officer, succeeded where they, as generals, senior leaders, had been tasked and were utter failures.
In this @PennCERL “Eulogy For Ian Fishback” the author describes an encounter #torture whistleblower Ian Fishback had with former #Guantanamo JTF-170 commander Dunlavey during a question-and-answer period following a talk.

Oppenheimer is sure to revive some debates about the end of WWII. Worth noting: Purple Heart medals awarded in Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf, War on Terror—all 370,000 since 1945—were manufactured for the anticipated invasion of Japan. We have 120,000 remaining.
The amount of power #SCOTUS is able to exercise over contemporary social disputes is a policy choice by Congress, *not* a constitutional mandate.
For 200 years, Congress exercised control over the Court in many ways. Part of why we are where we are is because it doesn’t anymore.
Looking at you @VAVetBenefits.Also our own failure to understand every veteran with whom we break our solemn promise serves as a cautionary tale- a warning to their family, to their community, NOT to serve or risk the chance of suffering the same broken promises
I've been telling Congress this for years, especially those who dont want to pay for injuries. Take care of our military families or risk them not recommending service to kids.
NEW: Ever gotten a call from the American Police Officers Alliance, or the American Veterans Honor Fund?
They're part of a nonprofit network that has raised a staggering $89M from small, usually conservative donors.
We found where the money went.

Last year, a coworker randomly asked me to hand-deliver an antique violin across the country. I said yes, because why not. I had no idea what I was getting into, and now I need your help. A 🧵
Before the invasion, the Washington Post ran something like 27 editorials in support of the Iraq war. Now they want the government to means test veterans benefits to reduce the VA budget??? Absolutely shameless and embarrassing. https://t.co/Vyps0sqcde
An oped like this would only come without any one individual willing to sign their own name to it.
I’m sure these authors themselves all volunteered to serve and wouldn’t ever pen an oped suggesting other peoples’ children be sent in harm’s way…

@KCRG Tweeting “US to max out on debt soon” misunderstands or mischaracterizes the issue. It indicates the federal government will be unable to meet its existing financial obligations (“max out”) by raising the debt ceiling when Congress could elect to do so as it has done since 1941
Every day @costplusdrugs uncovers generic drugs that are insanely priced. If there is a generic that you can not afford , or that is charged for hundreds or thousands of dollars to your employer's insurance, please reply with the name and we will see if we can source it. Thanks
Y'all, I've seen enough newspaper websites to know that Twitter won't go away completely yet.
Elon will just end up selling it to a hedge fund at a bargain price and then we can enjoy:

-Entering your password 5x a day
-Tweets about weird far-away crimes
