Kinumpirma ng Google na nasa 2.5 bilyong Gmail account ang posibleng nakompromiso kasunod ng pag-atake ng grupong ShinyHunters sa kanilang Salesforce database.

Ayon sa tech giant, limitado sa mga pangunahing detalye gaya ng pangalan ng negosyo at contact details ang nakuha ng grupo ngunit sapat na ito para magamit sa phishing, vishing, at iba pang uri ng online scam.

Wala mang nanakaw na passwords, hinimok ng Google ang users, kabilang ang mga Pilipino, na magpalit ng password, i-activate ang two-factor authentication, at maging alerto sa anumang kahina-hinalang aktibidad sa kanilang account.
